A city-wide night of concerts, art, science shows, guided tours and food, running from morning into late night across venues in Lund — an annual fixture since 1985.
Late October 2026 · Lund Fantastic Film Festival (LIFFF)

Scandinavia's largest genre-film festival — fantasy, science fiction and horror, mostly European premieres — running since 1995.
The 2026 edition, its 32nd, runs 28 October to 4 November; exact dates shift year to year, so check the festival's own site before planning around them.

The biggest day of the student year: champagne-and-strawberries breakfasts, barbecues and drinking in Stadsparken from morning, choir singing at Domkyrkan, and a bonfire in the evening.
The city centre is at its most crowded of the whole year for this one day.
Held every four years by thousands of student volunteers; no date has been announced for the next one yet. The 2026 carnival (Celestialkarnevalen) ran 22–24 May, so the next is expected in 2030.
One of the world's largest entirely student-run carnivals, dating to 1849 — tent entertainment, student shows and a grand parade through the city centre, filling Lundagård and the streets around it.
