Lund's everyday services are split across several organisations — water, heating, waste, transport and parking each have their own. The number you need is often not "the kommun". Here's who actually handles what, with tappable numbers. For a life-threatening emergency, call 112.
Not an emergency, but a health question?
Emergency — 112
Ambulance, police or fire when life or safety is at risk
Health advice — 1177
Non-emergency medical advice, day or night; guidance in English
Police, non-urgent — 114 14
Report a crime that isn't in progress, or ask the police anything non-urgent
Skånes universitetssjukhus (SUS) — A&E, Lund
Emergency department (akuten). Call 1177 first if you can — they'll say whether to come in
VA SYD — water & drains
No water, a leak or a blocked sewer. Runs Lund's water and wastewater (not the kommun)
Kraftringen — energy customer service
Electricity, district heating, gas and fibre — bills and questions. Most Lund homes are warmed by district heating, which is Kraftringen, not a boiler
Lund's waste service (Renhållningsverket)
Household bin collection, a missed pickup, bin sizes and food-waste bags
Recycling centre — Gastelyckan (Sysav)
Skånetrafiken — buses, trains & the tram
Regional buses, the Pågatåg and Öresundståg, the Lund C→ESS tram, and tickets to Malmö and Copenhagen. Buy in the Skånetrafiken app
LKP — parking & impounded bikes
City car parks and street parking (payment is app-only). Also where a bike removed from around Lund C ends up — about 200 SEK to get it back
Lund municipality — Medborgarcenter
The kommun's front desk: schools, childcare, and most council services
Skatteverket — register your move
Register that you live in Sweden and get a personnummer. This is the national tax agency, not the kommun — but it's the first step for almost everything else
Town Tools builds free, public tools for Lund and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.
Kraftringen — report an outage
Power or gas cut, any time. For a district-heating fault call 010-122 70 00
Drop off bulky waste, electronics and hazardous waste. You get 26 free visits a year; open the barrier with a Swedish driving licence or the Sysav app
