This still hasn’t loaded. It looks stuck rather than slow, so reloading is worth a try now.
Town Tools builds free, public tools for Lund and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Search your address and see the bins Lunds renhållningsverk actually has on file for it, with the next emptying date for each. The dates are read live from the kommun's own service — the same one behind “När töms mitt kärl?”, which can also save them as a PDF. Below the search: where to take everything that does not fit in a kärl.
Before the bin goes out
Put it out
By 05:30 on the day — and leave the kärl out until it has actually been emptied.
Free reminder
Lunds renhållningsverk's SMS reminder — Free, and run by the kommun itself: a text the day before each emptying, for villa customers. Sign up through Mina renhållningstjänster on that page. This tool does not send reminders — theirs is the one to use.
Not emptied
If the kärl was out in the right place on the right day and has not been emptied, leave it out and tell Lunds renhållningsverk on 046-359 53 90 or renhallningsverket@lund.se. Snow, a röd dag, or a kärl that is overfull or too heavy are the usual reasons.
Where to take what doesn't fit in the bin
Four återvinningscentraler take what a kärl will not: bulky waste, wood, metal, electronics, hazardous waste, garden waste, rubble, and things still good enough for someone else. You pay nothing at the gate — it is already in your avfallstaxa.
Not accepted here
Ordinary restavfall and matavfall. None of the four takes them; those belong in your kärl at home.
Getting in: Insert a Swedish driving licence at the automat, or scan the QR code in the Sysav app. Sysav has stopped issuing new kundkort, so if you do not hold a Swedish licence you need to call Sysav's customer service before you go rather than turning up.
Sixteen unstaffed återvinningsstationer take household packaging and newspapers at any hour. lund.se lists thirteen; the national open dataset of Sweden's recycling stations has sixteen for Lunds kommun, and the three it adds are the stations beside the recycling centres at Kalkstensvägen and Traktorvägen and one at Stadsparksgatan in the centre. Checked against both on 13 August 2026.
Every bring bank takes
Pappersförpackningar — paper and cardboard packaging
Collection dates: Lunds renhållningsverk / Lunds kommun, read live from the kommun's own service at eservice431601.lund.se. Recycling-station list: Sveriges återvinningsstationer, CC0, via dataportal.se. Fees and the visit rule: Avfallstaxa 2026, adopted 6 November 2025.
Visits
26 free visits per adult per calendar year, counted per person and shared with Gunnesbo — a passenger who swipes their own licence uses their own allowance. Visit 27 costs 375 kr including VAT. (Avfallstaxa 2026 §2. lund.se and Sysav's own 26-besök page still say 325 kr; the taxa is the binding document.)
The larger of the two Sysav sites, and the only one that takes keramik, kakel och klinker. Asbestos and eternit only as a single sheet or board with a cross-section of no more than 40×20 cm, wrapped in plastic and taped — no cutting on site.
The same 26 free visits per adult per calendar year, shared with Gastelyckan; visit 27 costs 375 kr including VAT (Avfallstaxa 2026 §2).
The only one of the four that takes TV sets and computer monitors. Asbestos and eternit on the same terms as Gastelyckan: one sheet, cross-section no more than 40×20 cm, wrapped and taped.
Closed on röda dagar and the eves before them (stängt helgaftnar och röda dagar).

Visits
No visit limit is published for the two centres the kommun runs itself.
With a Grönt Kort you can also get in daily 11:00–19:00 while the site is unstaffed. It takes a short introduction on site — Wednesdays at 17:00 or Saturdays at 08:00, held once at least five people have signed up — and is for Lund residents who hold a driving licence. Renew it every four years.
