Ramp Reports

Is the ramp usable right now? Neighbours report the Doug Crane and Moultrie Creek ramps — the rain flooding no tide table and no gauge will tell you about.

About these tools

Town Tools builds free, public tools for St. Augustine South and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Doug Crane

1039 Shore Drive, at the north end. One ramp, a picnic table, a portable restroom and a parking lot; free, daylight hours. This is the ramp residents raised as flooding in ordinary heavy rain at the January 2024 SASIA meeting, where county parks staff replied that the ramp project had not been closed out and retention-pond work was still to come. Whether that work has since been done is not published anywhere we can read — which is the gap this board fills.

Moultrie Creek (Shore Drive)

4805 Shore Drive, at the south end on Moultrie Creek. One ramp with a dock and floating dock, a boardwalk down to the shore and a parking lot; free, daylight hours, and the walkway has accessible parking. The county boat-ramp page calls it Moultrie Creek and the county map calls it Shore Drive Boat Ramp — same ramp.
