Where to go when something is actually happening
In September 2022 post-tropical storm Fiona left roughly 95% of Prince Edward Island without power, and some areas waited close to 26 days to get it back. For a scattering of farms on Route 182 with no council of its own, that is the reason a wind warning is worth reading rather than skipping.
The province maintains all the roads here — Norway is unincorporated, so there is no municipal plough. Only Route 1 and Route 2 get round-the-clock service during a snowfall; everything else is cleared on a rotating schedule, and most plough routes take three to four hours to complete. Norway Road is Route 182, which is in the second group.
