cubic metres (m³)
Your bill shows the meter reading at the start and at the end of the month; the difference is the cubic metres you used. The meter is read once a month and only whole cubic metres are counted.
Your estimated monthly bill

Water includes the monthly base charge, your metered usage, any per-meter fees and sales tax.
There is one meter, so wastewater is charged on the same cubic metres as the water.
Vodovod i kanalizacija Kotor bills water and wastewater on one monthly account, and the price list is four figures: a fixed part and a variable part for each of the two services. VAT is 7%.
It is an estimate of what the published tariff comes to, not a copy of your account — arrears, a reconnection charge or an estimated reading will all move the real figure.
An estimate, not your bill
This is a guide, not your actual bill. Real bills depend on your meter size, your exact metered use, and any adjustments or programs you qualify for. Check your bill, or ask whoever bills you, for the exact figures.
Worth knowing
The fixed part is not charged per cubic metre
The price list prints all four lines in euro per cubic metre, which reads as though the fixed part grew with your usage. It does not. Article 37 of the Municipality of Kotor's decision on public water supply says in plain words that the fixed part is set to cover costs that do not depend on how much water is delivered, and that it is the variable part that depends on the quantity and is charged per cubic metre. The utility's own bill calculator agrees: it multiplies the variable parts by what you type in and charges each fixed part once. This page follows both — 0,9604 € and 0,2833 € once a month, 0,8621 € and 0,2520 € for every cubic metre, all before VAT.
2026 is cheaper than 2025, on all four lines
The 2025 price list charged, before VAT, 1,2286 € for the fixed part of water and 1,1668 € for every cubic metre of it, with 0,3535 € and 0,3238 € for the two wastewater parts. Every one of the four came down for 2026, by roughly 20% to 26% each and about 23% taken together. The same meter reading costs less this year than last.
If the meter cannot be read
Where the meter is faulty, article 40 bills the month at the average of the same three months of the previous year. Where even that cannot be worked out, it is billed flat at 6 m³ for each member of the household. Article 42 sets out what a bill has to show, including the meter readings it was worked out from.
If you think a bill is wrong
Article 43 gives you 15 days from the bill reaching you to complain to the utility in writing about last month's charge, and the company has to decide within 8 days of receiving the complaint and tell you in writing. One of the grounds is simply that the bill does not carry everything it is required to carry.
