Town Tools builds free, public tools for Kotor and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.
Kotor has around seventy souvenir shops inside the walls and not many places left to buy bread, cut a key or get a pair of shoes mended. Residents have been saying so for years: the Old Town lost its bookshops, its ordinary retail and its craft workshops, because those are not the things a day visitor buys.
This page is the other half of that sentence — the places that are still there. Neighbours add them and vote for the ones they use, inside the walls and in Škaljari, Dobrota, Muo and Prčanj, so somebody who has just moved here, or come back after years away, can find out where people actually shop.
