Not sure which bin something goes in? Type it in. Eindhoven's waste is collected by Cure into a grey bin for what's left over (restafval), a green bin for food and garden waste (GFT-E) and a blue bin for paper, with glass and textiles going to communal containers and the rest to the milieustraat. The thing that surprises most newcomers: there's no separate plastic bin here — plastic, cans and cartons go in the grey bin and are sorted out later by machine.

What's left after everything else is sorted out. In Eindhoven this also holds plastic packaging, cans and drink cartons — Cure separates those afterwards, so there's no orange PBD bin here.
Vegetable, fruit and garden waste, plus cooked and raw food scraps (etensresten).
Clean, dry paper and flattened cardboard.
Glass jars and bottles, taken to a communal glass container — not the kerbside bins.
Clothing, shoes and textiles, taken to a communal textile container — even worn or torn, as long as they're dry and clean.

Winter schedule for the green bin
No separate plastic bin in Eindhoven
Never in any bin. Drop them in a supermarket or shop battery box, or take them to the milieustraat. Loose lithium and e-bike batteries can start fires in the collection lorries.
Old chargers, kettles, phones and cables go back to a shop that sells them, or to the milieustraat — not the grey bin.
Paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals and old medicines go to the milieustraat's chemical-waste point (KCA, up to 0.1 m³ a visit) — never down the drain or in a bin.
Book a collection with Cure or take it to the milieustraat yourself.
The Lodewijkstraat milieustraat is closed for rebuilding through 2026 — use Milieustraat Acht, Achtseweg Noord 41. You'll need a Cure milieupas to get in.
