You need a transfer station sticker — or proof that you live in one of the member towns — to get in. Damariscotta residents get a sticker at the Damariscotta Town Office; check there for the current cost, as it isn't published online. where to get a sticker.

The station is also closed on: New Year's Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Household hazardous waste

Gas, oils, antifreeze, garden chemicals and spray paint are taken only on the station's annual Household Hazardous Waste Day. The date changes each year and was not confirmed for 2026 — watch the Nobleboro and Jefferson town sites for it.
