Vegyes hulladék — the household bin, at your gate
Everyday household waste that cannot be recycled
Vegyes hulladék (also written kommunális hulladék) is the ordinary household bin. ÉAK's calendar gives one line for it — „Vegyes hulladékgyűjtési nap: HÉTFŐ” — every Monday, all year, from in front of the property.
Szelektív — recycling, at your gate
Paper — flattened corrugated card, boxes, newspapers, leaflets, wrapping and printer paper, egg boxes, notebooks, books, Plastic — PET bottles, rinsed yoghurt and cosmetics pots and tubes, cleaning-product bottles, film, caps, food packaging, drinks cartons, Metal — drinks cans, food tins, metal caps
Szelektív is the separated recycling, and in Ura the three go out together in the same bag from your gate, on one Friday a month. Glass is not among them: there is no glass round here at all, so jars and bottles go to the hulladékudvar instead.
Zöldhulladék — take it to the collection point, not your gate
Leaves, grass cuttings and weeds, bagged, Branches and twigs, bundled, no longer than 1 m and no thicker than 5 cm
Zöldhulladék is garden waste, and it is the one that works differently. ÉAK's calendar says it is collected „gyűjtőpontos rendszerben, a településen kijelölt gyűjtési helyen” — at a collection point the village has designated, not from in front of your house. The calendar does not print the address of that point, and we would rather say so than guess: ring the önkormányzat on +36 44 341 965 or ÉAK on +36 1 776 7777 and ask where it is. In January the round takes fenyőfa only — Christmas trees, with every decoration off. In 2026 that was 13 and 20 January.
