The village council office, and the place to ask about anything the village runs itself: the óvoda (kindergarten), the általános iskola (primary school), the konyha (kitchen), the öregek napközi otthona (elderly day centre) and the orvosi rendelő (doctor's surgery). The mayor is Karácsony Sándor Zoltán. The same number is also the office fax. The office publishes ügyfélfogadás — counter hours — for Monday and Thursday only, and says nothing about the other days, so ring before you make the trip in.

Észak-Alföldi Környezetgazdálkodási Nonprofit Kft. — the company that empties Ura's bins, not the village office. Ring them about a missed collection, a bin, a lomtalanítás (bulky waste) appointment, or where the zöldhulladék (garden waste) collection point in the village is.

A hulladékudvar is a staffed recycling yard, and this is the nearest one — about 35 km from Ura. It takes the things that have no kerbside round here at all: glass (üveg), electricals (elektronikai), hazardous waste (veszélyes), batteries (elem) and paint (festék).
