Town Tools builds free, public tools for Tripoli and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Neighbours are starting to report local prices — add yours.
What is water costing in Tripoli right now? State water reaches only part of the city, so most households buy trucked water to fill their tanks, and refill gallons for drinking. Share what you last paid, and see the median of recent neighbour reports.
Tanker water — a tank fill
about 2,000 L (one delivery) · Non-potable water trucked in to fill a rooftop or ground tank — for washing, cleaning and flushing, not for drinking. Report the price for one delivery to fill your tank.
No prices reported yet — be the first.
Drinking water — a refill
per 18.9 L gallon refilled · The separate cost of safe drinking water — a refilled gallon or jerrycan, not the tanker tank water. Report the price you pay to refill one gallon.
These are prices neighbours report paying — not official prices, and not advice on where to buy. Anyone can read the board; reporting a price takes a free account, which keeps it honest. We show the median of recent reports once at least 3 people have reported an item, so no single number sets the figure. A report ages off after about 45 days, so the board stays current on its own.
These are prices neighbours have paid for trucked water and drinking water in Tripoli — not official rates, not a list of vendors, and not advice on who to buy from or what is fair. Water trucking is informal: the price swings with the cost of diesel and the neighbourhood, and regulars often pay less than strangers. Prices here are in US dollars, the way most are quoted. One report is not a price, so the board waits for a few before it shows a figure.
