About these tools

Town Tools builds free, public tools for Selebi Phikwe and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Since the BCL mine closed in 2016, shops and services in Selebi-Phikwe have shut, cut their hours or moved, and the public listings have not kept up: most of what OpenStreetMap — the free map many apps draw on — shows for the town was last edited between 2016 and 2019. This page lists the places people most often need, with how old each listing is, and lets residents say what they actually found when they were last there.

Everything on this page comes from residents, and nobody checks it. A listing can be years old and a report can be wrong. If you are making a long trip for one place, ring ahead first.
