Town Tools builds free, public tools for Reine and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Neighbours are starting to report the roads — tap to see.
The E10 is the only road. When it shuts for a rockslide, an avalanche or wind, Reine is cut off from the doctor at Gravdal, from the shops at Leknes and from the airport — and nobody publishes a machine-readable status for it that we can read. So this is a neighbour board: if you have just driven a stretch, say how it was. Reading it needs nothing; posting needs a free account, which is what stops it filling with noise.
Tap a road to say how it is right now.
E10: Å – Reine
The southern end, past Sørvågen and the Moskenes ferry quay. This is the stretch between the village and the boat to Bodø.
No reports yet
E10: Reine – Hamnøy
The bridges and the Hamnøy tunnel. Open water on both sides and the most wind-exposed few kilometres a Reine driver meets.
No reports yet
E10: Hamnøy – Ramberg
Round the Selfjord and under the mountains, with tunnels and avalanche sheds. The classic winter closure stretch.
No reports yet
E10: Ramberg – Leknes
Through Napp and the undersea Nappstraumen tunnel to Vestvågøy — the road to the hospital at Gravdal, the airport and the shops.
These are neighbours, not an official service. Live closures and incidents are here: Statens vegvesen — trafikkmeldinger — Statens vegvesen is the only body that opens and closes the E10, and its live traffic map is the authoritative answer. Check it first. This board exists because that map has no open data feed we are allowed to read, so we cannot put it on this page — only link it.
How this works
Each report counts for about 12 hours, then drops off on its own. A road shows once at least 1 recent report is in; when several are in we show the middle one, so a single voice can’t swing it.
These are reports from neighbours and drivers, not from a road authority. A stretch with no reports is not a stretch that is clear — it is a stretch nobody has said anything about, which in a village of three hundred through the polar night will often be most of them. Nothing here is a decision about whether to drive: that comes from Statens vegvesen, from the avalanche forecast on Varsom, and from your own eyes. In an emergency call 113; the legevakt is 116117.
