Newquay has ten designated bathing waters. This shows, live, whether a monitored storm overflow is spilling near each beach right now — read from South West Water’s near-real-time feed — alongside the Environment Agency’s official rating for how clean each beach’s water is normally.
England’s bathing season ran 15 May to 30 September, so the Environment Agency has now stopped its weekly sampling at these beaches and its pollution-risk forecasts are paused until next May. The ratings below are the 2025 classifications, the most recent published; the 2026 ones are due in late November. The live overflow feed keeps running all winter, which is the half that matters now — overflows spill in wet weather, and the wet weather is ahead of us.
