Town Tools builds free, public tools for Košice and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.
Košice has run paid parking itself since the courts ended the private EEI contract. On-street parking is charged by tariff band: A1 and A2 in the centre, BN and CN on the mixed bays of the inner residential localities, N on general visitor bays. The big housing estates are not in the paid zone at all — yet.

When parking is free
Sundays and Slovak days of rest are free in every band, and the BN, CN and N bands are free on Saturdays too. The big housing estates — Sídlisko KVP, Sídlisko Ťahanovce, Dargovských hrdinov (Furča), Nad jazerom, Juh, Sever and Západ (Terasa) — are today a 'temporary resident locality' where street parking is free by ordinance (a few marked bays are reserved for bonus-card holders). Pay for the tariff band printed on the sign (A1, A2, BN, CN or N) — the band code is what you enter in the machine or app.
Good to know
Prices step in 30-minute units. Each band's daily cap doubles as a 24-hour day ticket (A1 €24, A2 €16, BN €6, CN €3.60, N €3) — the calculator below applies the cap. Park & Ride at the Amfiteáter is a flat €4.50 per 24 h and includes public-transport tickets for up to four people.
