Nobody publishes what a trip in Jinja costs. The city does not, and neither do the taxi park operators or the boda associations. Every fare is agreed at the roadside, so a student, a newcomer, or anyone stepping down at the taxi park with a bag pays whatever they are quoted that morning.
So this board is built from the people who paid. Sign in, put in what your trip cost you, and once a few neighbours have reported the same trip the board shows the middle figure of the recent reports. One person cannot move a middle figure, and it stays current on its own as people keep adding what they paid.
There is deliberately no figure of ours next to yours. Jinja has no published fare table to quote, and a number we invented would only teach the board to repeat it back. So the board starts empty. It is worth exactly what people put into it.

We show the median of recent reports once at least 3 people have reported an item, so no single number sets the figure. A report ages off after about 45 days, so the board stays current on its own.
These are neighbours' figures, not official fares — nobody here checks them, and one or two reports is not a price. The board waits until at least three people have reported a trip before it shows a middle figure at all, and it drops reports older than about six weeks so it follows what trips cost now. Fares in Jinja are agreed trip by trip and move with fuel, with rain, with the hour and with who is driving.
