Where to report the common complaints
Jinja City Council
Garbage collection, streetlights, roads, markets and trading-space questions. This is the city's office — the separate Jinja District office serves the rural areas outside the city.
NWSC — National Water & Sewerage Corporation
Supply failures, leaks and billing. Toll-free, answered 24/7; second line 0800 300 977. Jinja is supplied from the Masese treatment plant.
UEDCL — Uganda Electricity Distribution Company
Power cuts, fallen lines and connections — UEDCL took the network over from Umeme in 2025. Toll-free; office line +256 312 330 300. Live outage alerts by district are on the linked page, though the site itself is sometimes down.
Jinja Regional Referral Hospital
Busoga's referral hospital, on the city's east side. Second emergency line +256 414 674585. No dialysis yet — patients are referred to Kiruddu in Kampala (hospital director to Parliament, FY 2025/26).

The main city-centre station. Alternate line 0393 240 955.

Southern Division — Walukuba and the Masese side.
