Town Tools builds free, public tools for Haputale and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Haputale has no local paper, no forum and no community group online — in any language. So the answers to these questions live in people's heads, and a newcomer or a visitor has no way to reach them.
This page is a place to put them. Sign in to add an answer or to vote for one you agree with; anyone can read it without signing in. The questions are fixed, so nobody can turn this into a noticeboard, and votes decide the order rather than whoever posted last.
Where do you get the best rice and curry in town?
Guesthouse kitchens, the places near the market, the shops that do a good lunch packet — whatever you would send a neighbour to.
The ridge to Idalgashinna through Thangamale, the tea track up to Lipton's Seat, or somewhere visitors never hear about. Say what the path is like at this time of year.
Anyone can read this page. Adding a pick or voting takes a free account — that keeps the list honest. Picks are public the moment they post, and the agent reviews them regularly; if something here looks like spam or is plain wrong, use the report form at the bottom of the page.
