Dingle Bay and the Blasket Islands are one of the best places in Ireland to watch sea life. After Fungie the bottlenose dolphin disappeared in 2020, the harbour's boats turned to wildlife and sea-safari trips. This is a month-by-month guide to what you're likely to see and when — the pattern from past years, never a promise.

You don't always need a boat — on a calm day the headlands at the west end of the peninsula are good for sea-watching, though a boat gives the best chance.
