About these tools
Town Tools builds free, public tools for Cluj-Napoca and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

The next departure on the CTP lines Cluj actually queues for — the DN1 run out to Florești, the airport, Apahida and Baciu, and the cross-city trunks.
Every time here is read from CTP's own timetable files, which the operator re-issues every few weeks; each line shows the date its current sheet came into force, so you can see exactly which edition you are looking at.
These are times from the ends of the line
CTP Cluj-Napoca publishes each line as the departure times from its two termini, and nothing in between. If you board somewhere along the route, your stop is a few minutes later than the time shown — how many depends on the traffic that day. Use these to know when a run starts, not to time your own stop to the minute.
This is the published timetable, not live positions: a bus caught in the traffic runs late, and nothing here can see that.

Line M26
Cluj-Napoca ↔ Florești Cetate
The trunk service down the DN1, the busiest road in Romania. CTP publishes the Cluj end of this line as a frequency rather than fixed times, so that direction reads "every 10–15 minutes" instead of a clock.

Public holidays usually run the Sunday timetable, but that is not published as data we can read — check the operator’s notices before a holiday.
Before you set off
Timetables know nothing about a closed stop, a festival diversion or roadworks. CTP Cluj-Napoca posts those as notices, and during big events they change week to week.
On the urban lines a single electronic ticket is 3.50 lei and a 60-minute one 7.00 lei; a day pass for all lines is 24 lei, and a monthly pass is 108 lei for one line, 147 for two and 213 for all of them. Night runs between 23:00 and 05:00 need their own 6.00 lei ticket and nothing else is valid on them. The metropolitan M-lines are priced by zone instead: Cluj-Napoca to Florești is 4 lei, or 5.50 if you also want one urban line, and 115 lei a month; Baciu on M31 is 5 lei, Apahida on M41 is 7. You can pay by SMS or MobilPay, in the 24Pay app, with a contactless bank card on board, or at a machine.
The times are departures from the two ends of the line. If you board halfway along, add the running time to your own stop — CTP does not publish intermediate stop times in these files, so neither do we.
A quiet or missing line here means we could not read that sheet, never that no bus runs. The operator's own page for each line is linked beside it.
Metropolitan lines are the ones with an M in front of the number; they leave the city and are charged by zone, not on the urban ticket.
Night lines (5N, 25N, M26N, M31N, M41N, M43N, M51N, 54N) are not on this board. They run between 23:00 and 05:00 on their own 6 lei ticket — see CTP's night transport pages.
Read from CTP Cluj-Napoca's own published timetable files, refreshed weekly. Each line shows the date its sheet came into force. Timetables published by CTP Cluj-Napoca as open data (ctpcj.ro).
The Park & Ride corridor. A parking ticket from Park & Ride Traian Vuia is also your bus ticket into town, on lines 5, 5N, 8, M41, M41L, M42, M42L, M43 and M44.
