Passage Canal (zone PKZ723) and Northwest Prince William Sound (PKZ724) get their own small craft advisories and gale warnings, separate from the warnings for town. A small craft advisory on the canal is common and does not by itself mean the day cruises stop; that is always the operator's and captain's call. Wind does not close the tunnel

The Anton Anderson Tunnel closes for its schedule, for the train's turn, for a crash or for a slide on the approaches, not for a blow on the water. For the road itself, the road conditions page reads the state's sensors at both tunnel portals.
