Prince George clears its 735 km of roads and 200 km of sidewalks in priority order after a snowfall — not all at once. This page explains the city's service standard and which tier your street is in.
The standard
After 7.5 cm of snow in 24 hours, the city starts clearing by priority.

These are the city’s targets, not guarantees

Arterial roads and curb-adjacent sidewalks; the Downtown Central Business District roads, laneways and sidewalks; and the Hospital District.
For example: Major through-routes, the downtown core, around the hospital
Within 48 hours after the snowfall ends.
Collector roads and curb-adjacent sidewalks; priority hills; and commercial and industrial zoning roads.
For example: Busier connector streets, steep hills, industrial areas
Within 48 hours after the snowfall ends.
Residential roads, laneways, and designated sidewalks; and park paths.
For example: Most neighbourhood streets
Within 72 hours after Priority 1 and Priority 2 routes are finished.
Measured from the moment the snow stops — targets, in priority order.
Heavy snowfall: 20 cm or more
When at least 20 cm falls within 24 hours, the City can declare a heavy snowfall. Nighttime clearing and removal in the Downtown Priority 1 and Priority 2 areas starts an hour earlier — 11 p.m. instead of midnight — and the completion windows above stretch by a further 24 hours for every 8 cm that falls beyond the 20 cm. A 36 cm storm, for example, adds two extra days to every tier.
The City opens standard driveways up to 8 metres wide. Wider driveways may not be fully cleared if there isn't room to place the excess snow.
Curb-adjacent sidewalks are cleared with the road tier they sit on; other designated sidewalks and park paths are cleared with Priority 3.
