Town Tools builds free, public tools for Maleny and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Maleny sits up on the range with only a few steep ways down. When the range road is fogged in, flooded, blocked by a crash or a fallen tree, neighbours usually know before any official page does. Tap a road to say how it is right now — and check before you head off.

How this works
These are neighbours, not an official service, and a quiet board doesn't mean every road is clear. In a life-threatening emergency call Triple Zero (000). For help in a storm or flood, call the SES on 132 500. Official road closures are on QLDTraffic, and the Sunshine Coast Disaster Hub (disasterhub.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au) carries warnings. In a bushfire, Queensland's advice is to leave early — don't wait for a warning.
