Emergency Numbers and Who to Call in Lautoka

910 · 917 · 911

National Fire Authority · Police · Emergency operator

910 for fire and ambulance, 917 for police, 911 for any emergency — plus checked numbers for water, power, the hospital, the health centres and the council.

Every number here was checked on 22 October 2026 against the body that publishes it: the Telecommunications Authority of Fiji for the national short codes, the National Fire Authority, the Ministry of Health's own facility list, the Water Authority of Fiji, Energy Fiji Limited, the Fiji Meteorological Service and Lautoka City Council.

Where two sources disagreed, or where nothing official could be read, the number is left out instead of guessed at. Lautoka Police Station's own office line is missing for that reason; 917 reaches the police either way. The Ministry of Health's page for Lautoka Hospital carries no phone number, so the hospital's switchboard here comes from the Ministry's own list of facilities instead.

910 is the fire number. It is worth saving now.

A house fire at Lovu Seaside in May 2026 was reported through the police because the caller did not know 910, and the National Fire Authority asked residents to save it. It is free from any phone, answered around the clock, and it brings the ambulance as well.

The Telecommunications Authority of Fiji publishes 911 as the national emergency number, and the Ministry of Health publishes it as the medical emergency number; hospital ambulance services run around the clock. If you already know which service you need, 910 reaches the fire service and 917 the police direct.

913

EFL says to treat any fallen power line as live, and to keep well away from one lying in water. In extreme weather the telephone network itself can be congested or damaged; if you cannot get through on 913, EFL says to notify the police.
