Kep is a small place, and for a lot of daily needs the honest answer is "that's in Kampot" — about 25 km and half an hour west. This is what actually forces the run, so you can batch a trip and make it worth the drive, and what one round trip costs in fuel.
By your own motorbike or car it's about half an hour west. If you don't drive: a shared minivan is about US$3–5, a tuk-tuk US$5–10 and slower, a private taxi US$15–20.
