How this board works

Each person can add one rate per meter, and can change or remove it any time. A figure appears once 3 people have reported, and reports drop off the board after 180 days so it keeps up with what is being charged now. The board shows the middle report, so one wrong or unfair figure cannot move it.

Why there is no official rate here

There is no current published rate on this page, and that is not an oversight. Household electricity rates in Cambodia are set nationally, but the regulator's website blocks automated access to its documents, the utility publishes no rate table we could find, and the newest firm public statement is a 2024 news report that rates were being left unchanged. Printing a figure that might be several years old, next to what people are being charged today, would mislead more than it helped. What the neighbours report is the more useful comparison for a renter anyway: it is what people in Kep are actually billed, markup included.

Electricity Authority of Cambodia (EAC)

The national regulator. Under the Electricity Law, a consumer may refer a dispute about a tariff or a supply contract to the EAC, and its Department of Supply and Consumer Affairs is the part that handles consumer complaints. Ask them what applies where a landlord resells electricity — that is the question this page cannot answer for you.
