Bus 788 — down to Ruifang, then the train to Ruifang station (change to a TRA train to Taipei) leaves at 22:00.

Sunset is around 18:21; the last departure is 22:00 — there is time for the lanterns first.
Leaves from the Jiufen Old Street (舊道) stop. On weekends the queue here can be long.
This last time is the route's departure from Jinguashi, one stop up; the bus reaches Jiufen a few minutes later. Treat it as approximate and don't cut it fine.
