About these tools

Town Tools builds free, public tools for Inuvik and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

A gigajoule is a unit of energy, and it is what your gas is metered and billed in. There is no honest way to convert a house size into gigajoules — how a house is built, how warm it is kept and how hard the winter is all move it more than floor area does. Use your own bill.
