Two national services joined the tools that read live official warnings. MET Malaysia publishes no area codes — the districts a bulletin covers are written into its text — so the page works them out by reading the bulletin, and says so rather than reporting an all-clear when it cannot. Queensland's fire danger, local fire bans and fire warden contacts now come from the Fire Department's own public map services, so a page can say what the rating is, whether a ban is on, and who issues a permit. Fire danger pages also stopped dating live ratings with the day someone last checked the source.
Three things decide whether you can light a fire on the range, and they were kept in three different places: the fire danger rating, whether the Sunshine Coast is under a Local Fire Ban, and the number for the Maleny and District fire warden, who issues the Permit to Light Fire. The page reads all three from the Queensland Fire Department as they stand right now, including the warden's current number.
Tools can now divide one published index reading by another to work out a rent adjustment, reading the ICL, UVA and INDEC's IPC (national and regional) live, with both readings shown so the figure can be checked. When we research something for a page — a currency change, a tide correction, a note about why a board exists — it is stored alongside the tool. If the code had no matching field for it, the fact was quietly dropped on every render: no error, nothing missing on the page, and no way to tell from the outside. We had a report that found these after the fact; we now refuse to store one in the first place, and name it. Five live tools were carrying one, and all five are fixed — including a market-price page whose figures were a thousand times too high.
The page already told you that wind and low pressure can push the real water well above the predicted high, and to check Kartverket's Se havnivå before a storm — then linked the general forecast instead. It now links Se havnivå itself, which is the service that publishes the measured level and the storm-surge warning.

We've moved it onto the working price-board kind and refilled it with real figures — carrots, leeks, beans and the other Uva highland vegetables at Keppetipola, the wholesale market most local growers sell into — read from HARTI's daily bulletin, with the same range from a week earlier and that day's price at Bandarawela, Nuwara Eliya and Colombo noted alongside. The page is live again at the same address.

The tool's row was already live in the database with real research behind it, but the code that renders it had never been merged, so the page quietly served a setup notice instead of the firewood season it was built to show. The code is now live; nothing about the page's content changed.
DID Sarawak's own published king tide calendar for the rest of 2026 — which weeks the big tides fall in, the exact date, time and height of each one, and what that does and doesn't mean for a Sibu flood. Registered on 17 September but the code behind it never reached the live site until today; the page was returning a placeholder in the meantime.
Every page on the site kept its content inside a block that only appears once the browser runs a script. If yours doesn't — a data-saving browser, a locked-down school or work network, a connection that dropped the scripts — a town or tool page showed a grey placeholder saying "loading the latest information… there's no need to reload", and it never loaded. Checked across 529 pages, 524 showed no heading at all. Twenty-four kinds of tool had a hand-written plain-HTML version of their table for exactly this case, and none of it could ever be shown. Town and tool pages now send their content as ordinary HTML. The town, the title, what the tool is for, where the figures come from and when they were checked, the correction form, and the town's other tools all read with scripts switched off. The live part of a tool — the bit that reads a feed or works out today's date — still needs them, and now says so in the town's language rather than promising something that wasn't coming.
