A new calculator works out what trekking the Rwenzori actually costs: the Uganda Wildlife Authority park fees — which are far lower for a Ugandan or East African citizen than for a foreign visitor — the crew's published pay, and a fair tip. Pick a route, the number of days and your group size, and it shows the fees in the right currency, alongside the two community operators who run the Central Circuit and the Kilembe Trail. It is there to help you compare an operator's quote and to make sure the local porters, guides and cooks — who are your neighbours — are paid properly. It does not set a price; your operator's written quote is what binds.
Astoria now has a plain guide to what to do in a tsunami. On this coast a strong or long earthquake is itself the warning — the first wave can be only minutes behind it — so the page explains how to recognise the natural signs, what to do during and after the shaking, and to walk inland and uphill out of the low ground by the river without waiting for a siren or an alert. It points to the official DOGAMI "Beat the Wave" evacuation map and to Clatsop County's alerts and the national tsunami warning service. It is a safety reference to read now, not a live alert.

We added a reusable tool that works out the real cost of trekking a national park where fees are charged per day and depend on whether you are a citizen or a foreign visitor — and that shows the crew's published pay, so people can tell a fair quote from one that underpays the porters and guides. The first one is for the Rwenzori Mountains, above Kasese in Uganda. The same week we also made the tsunami self-evacuation guide work for coasts like Cascadia, where there is no single safe height — only a mapped zone to climb above — so it now fits Astoria, Oregon as well as the Chilean coast it was built for.

Until now those few messages only appeared in English, which wasn't much help if English isn't the language you read. For towns where mains power is bought from a private generator by amperage, a new calculator turns the appliances a home runs at once into watts and amps and shows which subscription tier carries them. First use: Sir Ed Danniyeh. Reusable for any town on amperage-priced power.

So here it is: the city's Catholic churches on a map and grouped by area — North Oxford, Headington, Cowley, the city centre and South Oxford — each with its Sunday, weekday and confession times, checked against the parish's own website. Times can change for holy days and, at the University Chaplaincy, with the term, so each church links to its own page to confirm. Thank you for the suggestion.
The Parking & access answer now leads with the ~€30 resident rate (the full annual permit is €90, with a 66.67% discount for eligible residents) instead of the €90 figure, matching the parking cost calculator.
Velika Zaka is barrier-controlled daily from 12 June; Mlino, Mačkovec and Koritno join from 3 July (weekends), with Mlino and Mačkovec daily until 21:00 at the July–August peak. Koritno was missing before and is now included, in both the Parking & access answers and the Roadworks & busy-days board.

A new tool reads recent and forecast rainfall together with live National Weather Service warnings for towns where heavy rain triggers landslides — first used in Ketchikan, Alaska.
The day's Fire Danger Rating and Total Fire Ban status for the Stirling Coast Fire Weather District — which covers Denmark and Albany — straight from DFES's Emergency WA feeds. It sits beside the burning-period calendar: the calendar tells you which period applies, this tells you what the fire authority has declared for today.
