Cochem erhebt zwei Parktarife, die fast um das Dreifache auseinanderliegen, aber die Zahlen standen auf keiner Tourismusseite — sie stehen im Ortsrecht der Stadt, in zwei Gebührenordnungen vom 27. März 2023. Was Parken wirklich kostet liest sie jetzt aus: wählen Sie, wie lange Sie bleiben, und sehen Sie, was jeder der neun Parkplätze kostet. Zwei Dinge macht es klar, die vorher nirgendwo an einem Ort standen. Ein ganzer Tag in der Innenstadt ist zu keinem Preis käuflich — die zentralen Plätze begrenzen auf zwei bis elf Stunden —, während ein ganzer Tag hinter dem Bahnhof an der Pinnerstraße 3,00 € kostet. Und Moselstraße 1 sowie Pinnerberg kosten vom 15. März bis 14. November fast dreimal so viel wie im Winter und verlieren zugleich die unbegrenzte Parkdauer. Daneben ist Ist gerade ein Platz frei? ein Board für die andere Hälfte der Frage. Niemand veröffentlicht die Auslastung irgendeines Cochemer Parkplatzes, also fragt das Board die Menschen, die gerade eingefahren sind. Zum Melden anmelden; lesen kann jeder. Meldungen verblassen nach drei Stunden. Außerdem haben wir zwei bestehende Werkzeuge korrigiert. Beide behaupteten, am Conder Ufer sei das Parken kostenlos. Die Uferstraße in Cond kostet vom 15. März bis 14. November 0,60 € pro Stunde und 3,00 € pro Tag — genau die Saison, in der die meisten Menschen kommen. Sie sagen jetzt günstiger, nicht kostenlos.

Two tool kinds any town can now use. The first answers when a temporary skip stands at your address for a dated window — a shape none of the fourteen existing waste tools could express, since they all model a collection day. The second works out what a winter costs on delivered fuel: oil, kerosene, propane, pellets or wood, priced against a published weekly survey, with the same heat shown on each so you can see where yours sits. Heating-season tools can also now send email alerts when the legal switch-on rule tips.

The heating-season page works out the decree's arithmetic — the average of 7:00, 14:00 and twice 21:00, against 13 °C on two days running. You can now ask it to email you when that crosses, in either direction, instead of checking. One sign-up covers both the switch-on and the pause. It is not a switch notice and never will be: TEHO measures at its own point and makes the actual call, and the email says so and links where the real switch is announced. The season opens on 1 September.

Twice a year the city puts veľkokapacitné kontajnery out on named streets for a few days at a time. The whole 2026 rota is published as open data, but nothing let you ask it by street — so this page does. Type your street and it tells you which days a container stands near you, and what else is still coming to your mestská časť. Worth knowing: the two rounds of the year usually stop at different house numbers on the same street, so check the address rather than just the street name. The autumn round starts on 15 September.

Heating is the biggest bill of the year here and it does not arrive month by month. This page carries the state's weekly fuel prices, works out what last winter would cost at this week's rate, and shows the same heat priced on oil, kerosene, propane, pellets and wood so you can see where yours sits. It also carries this year's heating help — who qualifies, when applications opened, and that Midcoast Maine Community Action is the office for Lincoln County. It is arithmetic on numbers you type, not a quote, and your dealer's price will differ.

Put in the assessed value from your bill and it works out roughly what a year comes to at this year's rate of $21.03 per $1,000, and what the homestead, veteran and blind exemptions take off. It also carries the state programmes that can lower the bill further — the Property Tax Fairness Credit, the State Property Tax Deferral Program, and the town's own Tax Club. One note worth knowing: the Tax Collector's page on the town site still shows last year's rate. This page follows the Assessors, who have the current one.

The solar calculator used a single figure for how much a Beirut roof makes in a year. It now reads the European Commission's solar model for the city's own coordinates and shows every month: about 94 units for each kilowatt of panels in January against 158 in July. The yearly figure moved from 1,650 to about 1,560, which is a little more cautious and better sourced — the model accounts for the terrain around the city and for real cabling, inverter and dust losses, where the old number was a hand-adjusted ideal. Payback comes out slightly longer as a result, and closer to the truth.

The mains water network is broken, so water arrives by truck at whatever the driver asks. Fuel, gas and cement have to be brought to a border village. Nobody publishes any of those prices, and what people know, they know from each other. There is now a board for writing it down. Six things a household is buying right now — trucked water by the cubic metre, a jerrycan of diesel, a gas cylinder, a bag of cement, a block, a bundle of bread. Sign in and put in what you actually paid. Anyone can read it without an account, including family abroad who are sending money and have no way of knowing whether a figure they were quoted is normal. It shows the middle of the last six weeks of reports, and only once three people have reported an item, because one or two numbers are not a price. These are neighbours, not an authority, and nothing here is a judgement about whether a price is fair.

Electricity from the generator in Khiam costs around half a US dollar for every unit, at the ceiling the Ministry of Energy and Water set for May. That is roughly five times what households pay in most countries, and it is the reason rooftop solar spread across Lebanon after 2020. The new page does that arithmetic in the open. Put in what you pay the generator each month and it works out the rough size of system that would cover it, what it would cost to install, what it would save in a year, and how long before it has paid for itself. At Khiam's prices, panels with a battery come out at roughly two to three years. It also reads the European Commission's solar model for Khiam's own coordinates and shows what a panel makes here in each month of the year. That matters more than the yearly figure: January produces about 86 units for every kilowatt of panels and July about 159, so January makes a little over half of what July makes. A system sized on summer numbers leaves you back on the generator through the shortest days. None of it is a quote, and nobody calls you. And if your roof is being rebuilt, the cheapest moment to run the cabling and set the mounting is while the work is happening.

Nobody publishes how full a Dana Point beach lot is. Salt Creek goes on a summer morning, the free lot on Selva goes early, and the harbour keeps moving where a car can be left. The only people who know are the ones who just drove in. So there is now a board for it: five lots, three answers each — spaces, filling up, full. Anyone can read it without an account. Signing in lets you add to it, and reports fade off after three hours, because parking does. It shows the middle of recent reports rather than the latest one, so a single bad report cannot move it. And nothing posted there reaches anyone who can open a gate or fix a machine — OC Parks and the state park are on the page for that.

The state's laboratory has taken more than 158,000 ocean-water samples at Dana Point's beaches. That record has never been laid out spot by spot for anyone who lives here, so we have done it. Since 2021, Salt Creek Beach has come back over a California bacteria standard on one sampling visit out of 232. MSI Beach on none out of 231. The San Juan Creek mouth at Doheny, on 79 out of 286 — and three thousand feet south along the same sand, on 11 out of 257. Doheny is not one beach, and neither is this coast. The new page reads the record live from the State Water Resources Control Board's open data and shows every sampling point the county takes, with the counts beside every rate so you can check the arithmetic. It also shows the month-by-month pattern — February goes over on about one visit in six, July on about one in fifty — and the rain that fell in the last three days, because that is what moves the creeks. What it cannot tell you is whether the water is clean this morning. The state's archive runs months behind and always will. The county answers that question, and its page and its recorded line are on the tool.

Most tools here answer when: the next bus, the next collection. Some towns' expensive questions are different — am I allowed, and what does it cost me if I'm wrong. So there are now two kinds for that shape. A low-emission-zone tool works out what applies to a zone today, what the fine is, and what starts on a future date. A container-windows tool says whether a street container is open right now and counts down to the next window. The town-year calendar also learned two new date rules: an Easter anchor, and an announced date it refuses to guess when the organiser has not published one.

Until today the platform had no way to say anything about an election. Across every tool kind built so far there was nothing about registration, ballots, polling places or the deadlines between them — which is a strange gap for a site whose whole subject is the things a local authority does. The new kind is a calendar that does the arithmetic. It stores each deadline with its date and, where the authority publishes one, its cut-off time, and then works out at render time which side of it today falls on: closed, closing today at five, or still open with a count of days left. That last distinction is the reason it is a kind rather than a page of links — "today by 5 pm" and "you missed it yesterday" are opposite advice, and comparing a date to a calendar in your head is exactly where people get it wrong. The headline says which stage the election is in: nothing open yet, early voting opens tomorrow, early voting is open today, early voting has finished, or today is the day. Two refusals are built in. It will not name your polling place and it will not tell you what is on your ballot, because both are tied to your name on the roll and only the elections office can look them up — so the tool links their lookups instead. And early-voting hours are optional in the schema, because authorities routinely publish a window months before they publish its hours; a window with real dates and an honest "hours not published yet" is better than hours copied from last time, which sends someone to a locked door. First use is St. Augustine South, Florida, which is unincorporated and so votes only in elections run by its county.

The ramp board opened by saying "the county's own FAQ says the Doug Crane ramp floods in ordinary heavy rain", and pointed at the county's boat-ramp page as its source. That page says nothing of the kind. The claim is real, but it belongs to someone else. It comes from SASIA's FAQ, where a resident raised it at the general meeting on 17 January 2024 and county parks staff answered that the Doug Crane ramp project had not been closed out and that retention-pond work was still to come. That is better evidence than a page reference, not worse — it is county staff acknowledging the problem — but it should say who said it, to whom, and when. It now does, and the source line splits between the county page for the ramps themselves and the SASIA FAQ for the flooding. Whether that retention-pond work has since been done is still not published anywhere we can read, which remains the reason the board exists. Two facts the page had wrongly said were unpublished: the county's boat-ramp page opens by describing all fifteen of its ramps as free, and SASIA says both of these are open during daylight hours. Both are now on the page. The county also gives a separate number for boat-ramp questions, 904-209-0328. And the Moultrie Creek side has a boardwalk down to the shore with accessible parking, which was worth naming.

Two links on this town's pages went to the wrong place, and both were the kind you'd tap when something had gone wrong. "St. Johns County Emergency Management", on both the storm page and the contacts page, went to sjcfl.us/emergency-management/ — which the county's site answers with a press release about a deputy director rather than the department. During a storm that is a bad page to land on. It now points at the department itself, and carries the county's emergency operations number, 904-824-5550, which the contacts page had been missing entirely. "St. Johns County Solid Waste" went to a page about a solid-waste exemption. Fixed to the department. The utility and parks links were pointing at older addresses that still redirect; those are now the current ones. Every number on the contacts page was read off its own county page again today and none had changed. The Supervisor of Elections, 904-823-2238, has been added to the county group.

St. Augustine South is unincorporated, so there is no city ballot here — every election you vote in is run by the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, from the county commission that decides Shore Drive and the boat ramps up to state and federal races. The new page collects that calendar in one place. What it does that a list of dates doesn't: it works out which side of each deadline today falls on. Registration for the 18 August primary closed on 20 July. The deadline to have a vote-by-mail ballot posted to you closed yesterday, 6 August, at 5 pm — the county publishes the date, but nothing tells you it has gone. Early voting opens tomorrow, 8 August, and runs daily to Saturday 15 August, 9 am to 6 pm, at any of seven sites; the handiest from here is the Southeast Branch Library at 6670 US 1 South, about six miles down US 1 with no bridge to cross. Each site also takes a vote-by-mail ballot you already have. An election-day polling place cannot. Two things the page deliberately won't tell you: where your own polling place is, and what is on your ballot. Both are tied to your name on the roll and only the elections office can look them up, so the page links its four lookups rather than guessing — and a wrong polling place is worse than no polling place. The general election on 3 November is listed too, with the dates the county has published so far.

Each tool's wording is written per language, and a tool built for a town that reads English carries English until someone writes the other languages. That is deliberate — a careful English sentence is better than a guessed translation on a page about flood levels. What was missing was any way to notice when a town in another language started using one of those tools. There is now a check that reads the live tools and says so, and the 20 it found have been written: weather warning emails in Spanish, German, French and Norwegian; the bus countdown in Chur, Thun, Karlsruhe, Erlangen, Bacharach, Braunschweig and Fribourg; the tide board in Lamu; the wind-chill page in Kapuskasing; the fog page in Mineral del Chico; the market price board in Koudougou and Kpalimé; the flood slider in Hoi An; and nine more.

Dutch is now a supported page language, so a Dutch town's navigation, forms and tools read in Dutch rather than English. Alongside it, a new kind reads the Copernicus global flood model to say whether a river is high or low for the time of year, ranked against thirty years of the same model at the same point — built for towns whose national hydrological service publishes nothing a computer can read. It states plainly that a modelled figure is not a gauge reading, because at Coimbra the model understates the real flood peak by more than half while correctly ranking it the biggest day in its record.

The departures tool could only handle small agencies: a large city's timetable file took about thirty seconds and over two gigabytes of memory to read, which is more than the site can spend on one page. It now reads the same file in about a second by skipping the parts it never uses. Existing towns' boards are unchanged, down to the byte.

Bakersfield has fifteen separate elementary districts sitting under one high-school district, so most families here deal with two districts, two offices and two calendars. Type your address and this reads the US Census boundary maps to name both. It names the district, not the school — each district draws its own attendance areas, and the links go to their own school-finder pages.

Seven water systems supply parts of Bakersfield, not two, and their watering rules are not the same. Type your address and this tells you which one you are on, its phone number, billing and outage links, and what its rules say. Where we could not confirm a system's current watering days from an official source — including the City of Bakersfield's — it says so instead of guessing.

Three tools and the town's own notes described Hahndorf's bus as the 864, running roughly hourly. Adelaide Metro's current timetable data has no route 864 — the Main Street buses are the 801 and T801, and they run about every half hour, seven days a week, which is roughly twice as often as we had recorded. How Busy Is It? had been suggesting a bus that does not run, and Who to Call linked to a page for it. Both are fixed. If you see 864 on an older sign, it is the same Mount Barker Road corridor.

Opening hours for twenty places, checked against the clock in Hahndorf. Most of Main Street has shut by 5pm; after that it's the two pubs, the Hahndorf Inn, The Haus, The Mustard Seed, the IGA and the servo. Each listing shows the date we last checked it, and four say plainly that their hours come from OpenStreetMap rather than the business.

Next Bus from Hahndorf shows when the next buses leave, both ways, from the Stop 55 stops on Mount Barker Road. The bus already on the road shows a live time; the ones after it are the timetable. It reads Adelaide Metro's own timetable and tracking data.

Nobody publishes an Irish tide table we are allowed to reuse, but the Marine Institute does publish the gauge in Dingle Harbour. The tide runs on the moon and the sun, so the times can be worked out from the water itself — and the page then checks itself against the gauge every time it loads, which is how it can also tell you how far the weather is pushing the sea above or below the table today. Checked against 45 days it had never seen: it found all 174 high and low waters the gauge recorded, on average within 12 minutes and 6 cm.

Five tool kinds gained work this week. Tide tables can now be read in Portuguese, and rain outlooks and livestock terms-of-trade in Amharic. Paid-parking learned that a town can charge on a different timetable on Saturdays than on weekdays — before this it could only hold one daily window, which would have told drivers in Tavira to pay for five hours a week when parking was already free. Terms-of-trade can now read a market's prices from a published monthly survey instead of figures typed in by hand that quietly go out of date. We also found the same mistake in three separate tools: prices and measurements printed with a full stop where much of the world writes a comma, so a Portuguese page showed €1.20 instead of €1,20. Two are fixed and the third is written down.

Os horários das duas travessias passaram a ser lidos dos PDF oficiais publicados pela Câmara, acrescentámos os preços da travessia do centro (que não estavam na página) e passámos a dizer com clareza que os horários de primavera e outono são uma extrapolação do horário de março, não um horário publicado.

As notas de investigação de Tavira registavam a tarifa dos parquímetros como «~€1/hora». Esse número vinha do blogue de uma empresa de aluguer de automóveis, não da Câmara, e estava errado em cerca de 43%: o regulamento fixa €0,70 por hora, tarifa única. As mesmas fontes continuam a indicar um limite de «2 ou 4 horas» que foi revogado em 2020 — hoje são 4 horas em todas as ruas tarifadas. Corrigimos as notas e passámos a citar o regulamento e a tabela de taxas publicados em Diário da República.

Se tem de pagar o parquímetro agora, em que ruas se paga, quanto tempo pode ficar e o que acontece se ficar a mais — a partir do regulamento e da tabela de taxas da Câmara. A tarifa é de €0,70 por hora, tarifa única, e o tempo máximo é de 4 horas em qualquer rua tarifada: a antiga divisão entre 2 e 4 horas foi revogada em 2020, embora continue a aparecer em muitos sítios na internet. A página sabe também que aos sábados só se paga até às 14 horas. E traz uma regra a seu favor que quase ninguém conhece: se estiverem todos os parquímetros da zona avariados, fica dispensado de pagar enquanto durar a avaria.

A página diz com clareza o que isso implica: a água de Tavira entra pela Barra de Tavira e sobe a ria, por isso a preia-mar no cais da cidade acontece mais tarde do que na tabela. Não encontrámos nenhuma fonte que diga de quantos minutos é esse atraso, por isso não indicamos nenhum número.

Lebanon's generator tariff is a legal maximum the ministry resets every month. The checker used to carry whichever month an agent last typed in, and Beirut had been showing May's ceiling since June. It now reads the ministry's own table on every render and says which month it is showing and when the ministry issued it; the typed-in figure stays as a clearly-labelled fallback for when the ministry cannot be reached.
