The band is chosen on your reading divided by the number of homes on the meter, so on a shared block meter one heavy user can push every flat up a band. Past 30 cubic metres per home, one more cubic metre adds about EGP 98. Figures are read from the Holding Company's own bill calculator.
Above 650 kWh a month, the whole month is repriced — so one extra unit at that line costs EGP 369.60, not the price of one unit. The page works out your bill from EgyptERA's published tariff, names the band you are in, and shows how far you are from the next one.
The school-calendar tool was built for a valley of five districts and still said so — "School's out for summer across the valley", and "1 valley districts" on a town page. Counts and phrasing now follow the number of districts a town actually has, and the dates in a break like "16–19 Oct" are joined the way each language orders days and months.
A fare page that does the arithmetic for a real party rather than listing prices, and compares tickets for people who cross regularly. Every price comes from the operator live, so it is right the day the tariff changes. Any Washington State Ferries route can have one.
For coasts no national tide service covers, tide times come from a global model computed on a coarse grid offshore — which can put the water an hour out and half a metre high. Where a real tide gauge nearby publishes its own record, we now measure the difference across several seasons and correct the page, and say on the page which gauge was used and how closely it matches. Lamu is the first: high and low water there now land within about a quarter of an hour of the gauge instead of three quarters.
Put in who is travelling and what you are bringing, and it works out the crossing from Washington State Ferries' own price list, read fresh each day. It handles the two things people most often get wrong here: the vehicle fare already includes the driver, and this route collects a fare in both directions. A second part compares paying each time against a commuter card or a monthly pass at however often you actually cross — and will tell you plainly when no pass is worth it, which is the case for a senior travelling on foot.
The page went live earlier this week but the code behind it did not ship with it, so it showed nothing. It reads the federal Clean Water Act record for Massard and P Street again — and now also shows how many discharge limits each plant exceeded in the last three years and for which pollutants, next to the compliance-schedule counter that put Massard on EPA's serious list. The two say different things, and the page now says which is which.
Is there school today, when the next day off is, and every break in the Fort Smith Public Schools 2026–2027 year — first day Wednesday 12 August 2026, last day Friday 21 May 2027. Every date was read off the district's own calendar, which stays the authority; the three days it lists only as "No School" are listed here the same way, and the parent–teacher conference days are named rather than guessed at.

The research note behind Fort Smith's water and sewer tools has been re-checked. It carried the water-rate increase as August 2025; it was August 2024, and that error had propagated into two live tools. Both are fixed, and the note now records the correction rather than quietly overwriting it. It also gained the half of the sewer story nobody local publishes: what the federal Clean Water Act record says about the two treatment plants, which is now its own tool.
A review of Fort Smith's pages this week turned up four things that were wrong, and they are fixed. The bill estimator was adding $14.59 a month for sanitation. That was the October 2020 rate; it has been $15.89 since January 2022 and did not change in the city's November 2025 rate package, so every estimate was running about $1.30 light. It now uses the current figure. Two dates were out. The water-rate increase — the first since 2011 — took effect on 1 August 2024, not 2025; the rates page had the wrong year. And the modification to the sewer consent decree was approved by the Board of Directors on 3 March 2026 and entered by the federal court in July 2026, not in March 2025 as both the rates page and the bill estimator said. Both now describe what actually happened, including that a second water increase was proposed and held off, so the 2024 water rates are still the current ones. The trash page carried a phone number, 479-784-2465, that the city does not publish anywhere we can find. Solid Waste Services is 479-784-2262. While fixing it we rewrote the page: yard waste was missing entirely (it is every other week, on its own truck), the Dial-A-Truck rules are now spelled out — free once every three months for up to five items — and the page no longer says there is no collection map, because the city has both an address search and a downloadable one. Also on the events board: both farmers-market entries pointed at a page that has since gone. The Saturday market now links a working listing. The midweek market is listed differently by different sources, so the board no longer names a day for it.
Your sewer bill goes up 3.5% every January until 2030, and in July 2026 the U.S. District Court signed off on moving the deadline for the work it pays for from 2027 to 2038. The Sewer Plants on the Record is the other end of that: what EPA's enforcement database says about the Massard and P Street water reclamation facilities, read live. For each plant it shows how many of the last twelve quarters carry a violation, how many were serious enough for EPA's significant non-compliance list, how much the plant actually treats against what it was permitted to treat, and when a regulator last inspected it. Underneath is the dated schedule the city is being held to, from the 2015 filing to the court's entry of the modification last week. The two plants read very differently right now, and the page explains why: the counter running against Massard is a compliance-schedule counter — dated obligations missed — not a measure of what is leaving the plant. It is a regulatory ledger, it lags by a quarter, and it does not record individual overflows; the page says so, and carries the 24-hour number to call if you can see or smell one.
Seven towns' prayer times pages linked a cross-check calculator at a URL that now returns Not Found. Each one now points at that town's own prayer calendar instead, checked page by page. It surfaced while building the same tool for two new towns.
The fare calculator is for metros that charge by how many stations you travel rather than how far. It routes over the operator's own station list, preferring the route with the fewest stations because that is what the tariff charges for, and it refuses to price a trip longer than the published fare table instead of guessing. The collection calendar reads a waste hauler's own dated feed rather than deriving days from a weekday rule, so a cancelled pickup says where it moved to instead of quietly disappearing. Both are reusable: the first for any station-counted metro, the second for the several hundred North American municipalities on the same collection service.
Norway has no council, so the collection calendar comes from Island Waste Management. This page reads their own dated calendar rather than working the days out from a rule, which means a holiday move shows up exactly as IWMC has it — including the days when nothing is collected and the pickup moves to a Saturday. Norway Road and Tignish village are different zones and both are shown, because the boundary runs between neighbours. There are also Environment Canada warnings for Prince County, and the lobster season for LFA 24 with the three-day weather delay that moved the 2026 dates.
The nawwāt — the named winter storms — are on the dates the Alexandria Port Authority itself publishes, read from its Arabic table, as an almanac of when a storm is due rather than a forecast that one will arrive. Swimming conditions carry today's measured sea and explain the beach flag system, including that a red flag means entering the water is forbidden outright; they never show a flag colour, because status is announced daily by the governorate and there is no feed for it — the flag on the pole at the beach is the authority. There is also a page on the Raml tram closure and its replacement buses, and prayer times on Egypt's official angles.
Prayer times are worked out from the sun over the city using Egypt's own official method — the Egyptian General Authority of Survey angles — and the page keeps working once loaded, so it is there underground. The fare calculator asks where you get on and where you get off, counts the stations across all three lines, and shows the route it counted so you can check it. Where a trip lands exactly on the edge between two fare bands, it shows both prices and explains why, because the operator publishes the bands but not whether the station you board at is counted. We also corrected the fares we had on file: they are EGP 10, 12, 15 and 20 since 27 March 2026.
A fix worth naming, because the failure it removes was silent. The pages that carry national weather warnings match a town against the area a warning names. Most weather services publish one region per warning area, which matched cleanly. Some publish every region a warning covers as one long comma-separated string instead — Finland's feed does — and against those the match never succeeded. The page did not break. It just said there were no warnings, every day, whatever the weather, which is worse. Areas named as a list are now read as the separate regions they are. Names are still matched in full, so nothing matches by accident, and countries that name one region per area behave exactly as before. Oulu's new warnings page does not rely on this — it reads the Finnish Meteorological Institute directly — but other towns on the shared European feed did.
Anti-social behaviour is the thing residents and councillors here raise most often about the town centre, so there is now a page showing what has actually been reported to South Wales Police around it — every incident, month by month, straight from the police service's own open data. It is a record of reports, not a verdict on the town, and the page says so. It also says two things it would be easy to leave out: that anti-social behaviour is not the biggest number in that data — violent crime and shoplifting are each recorded more often — and that the police publish monthly and in arrears, so the newest month available is about two months old. It answers what has been reported here over months. It cannot answer whether it is safe out there tonight, and does not pretend to. The reporting routes are on the page because reporting is what puts an area on the police and the council's list: 999 while it is happening, 101 or the force's online form afterwards, the council where a tenancy is involved, and Crimestoppers if you would rather not give your name.
Two new tools for Oulu. **When's the next bus?** reads Oulu Regional Transport's own real-time feed and shows the next departures from four stops: Rotuaari in the middle of town, Pekuri for the buses out to Kiiminki, Haukipudas and Muhos, the university at Linnanmaa, and the hospital. Each time is marked either live — an estimate coming off the bus itself — or timetable, which is the plan and can change. OSL's current service notices sit above the boards, labelled as network-wide, because they are: the feed publishes them for the whole network rather than for one stop. The page also carries what the board cannot show you — the ticket. One flat fare covers the whole OSL area however far you go, valid 90 minutes, so changing bus inside that window costs nothing extra. An adult single is 2,90 € from the app, an OSL card, an R-kioski or a contactless tap; from the driver it is cash only, 5,00 €, and double that between 23:00 and 04:30. **Weather warnings for Oulu** shows every warning the Finnish Meteorological Institute currently has in force for Pohjois-Pohjanmaa, in FMI's own words and their own English. A warning covers the whole county — from the coast here inland past Pudasjärvi and Kuusamo — so the page says that plainly rather than letting a county-wide thunderstorm warning read as a forecast for your street. It is not an alert service and nothing on it will reach your phone; the 112 Suomi app and Yle's emergency bulletins are linked for that.
New tool kind: heating bills. District heating utilities publish a price per kilowatt-hour while residents hold a bill in euros, so the new kind does the arithmetic in between from the operator's own published consumption figures. Alongside it, parking tools can now describe zones charged round the clock and zones charged only in season; ferry fares now render as money rather than as bare numbers; and ferry queue boards have their own wording, because the nearest existing one told people they were waiting for the tide.

They can now also read MeteoAlarm, the shared European warning service that republishes each national weather service's own warnings. The page always names the service that actually issued a warning — MeteoAlarm carries them, it does not write them — and shows the text exactly as issued. First use: Bled, Slovenia.

It reads the utility's own calendar, so the dates are the utility's dates, holidays already moved. It also carries the set-out times: bins out by 06:00 from October to April, 05:00 from May to September.

A rent-affordability calculator turns a household's income into what it covers against Dilijan's typical furnished-flat rents, the question the research kept surfacing from the town's rolling relocant population. And a Community Picks board opens four resident-answered questions — where to eat without the summer wait at Kchuch, where to stay active, who to actually call for a trade, and one tip for newcomers — because you can't simply search for businesses here the way you can in a bigger city.
A new collaboration tool lets signed-in residents and travellers report whether Zoji La, Khardung La, Chang La and the Srinagar and Manali highways are clear, slow going or blocked right now — the one question the town's other road tools (a seasonal calendar and a snow forecast) deliberately don't answer. Reports age out on their own and the district administration and BRO stay the authoritative source alongside them.

Route 1S was reading 'No service' because of a Long Lake Road detour that only closes two stops — the bus is still running. The page now reads GOVA's live feed correctly and only flags a whole route down when the agency actually says so.
The cooling-cost calculator prices a household's air conditioning against a weather station's published degree-day normals and the local electricity tariff, billing the cooling as marginal use so a tiered rate is handled honestly. The upstream-flow tool reads Copernicus's global flood model for towns on rivers nobody gauges, and states plainly that it is a model estimate and never a flood warning. The flood-areas tool also gained French, so francophone towns no longer inherit English chrome.

The U.S. Drought Monitor's current category for Washington County, updated every Thursday, with Iron, Kane and Garfield counties alongside for comparison — plus the local numbers behind it: eight inches of rain in an average year, 160 gallons per person per day at home, and the combined capacity of Quail Creek and Sand Hollow. Nobody publishes a live level for either reservoir, so the page says so rather than guessing.
Put in the floor area you cool, where you set the thermostat and roughly what kind of air conditioner you have, and it works out the electricity month by month, with the cooling separated from the rest of the bill. The seasons come from the 1991–2020 weather normals recorded at the St. George station; the prices are the city's residential rate adopted on 16 July 2026, and you can change any of them. It is an estimate, not your bill — and it only applies if the city's utility bills you, since homes south of the Virgin River are on Dixie Power.
Canadian towns hear their air quality as the AQHI — a 1-to-10+ scale from Environment and Climate Change Canada, measured at a local station. The existing air quality tool reports a European index from a model grid, which is the right answer almost everywhere and the wrong one in Canada. The new kind reads the AQHI a town's own station reports, and carries Environment Canada's published health messages word for word, in English and French.
Both notes were carrying facts that have since moved: the health section still described the 2024 de-rostering without the 2026 recovery, and the culture note repeated the cancelled train-station move. Both are now current, and record where wildfire smoke has started to interrupt the outdoor season.
The Steelworkers have said the Algoma layoffs are expected to run at least 35 weeks, and that members choose between severance and keeping recall rights once they have been off that long — for notices effective in late March, around late November. The guide now says this, and points to the temporary federal top-up of up to 20 extra weeks of EI for long-tenured workers.
