The hill above the town is a separate JAKIM zone, PRK07, and it is not a formality: from 1,250 m you see the sun earlier and lose it later, so sunrise on Bukit Larut runs 4 to 5 minutes ahead of Taiping's and Maghrib 3 to 4 minutes behind it. Check PRK07 on e-Solat if you are staying up there — the difference is small, and Maghrib is the one it matters for.
JAKIM sets imsak exactly ten minutes ahead of Subuh, every day of the year — it is a margin for finishing sahur, not a separate prayer. Subuh itself is the time that matters for the fast and the prayer.
PRK06 covers Selama, Bagan Serai and Parit Buntar alongside Taiping, so these are the times for a good part of northern Perak. Kamunting and Matang are inside it. Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar are not — they are PRK02, a few minutes different.
