What your water bill should come to
Work out your monthly water and wastewater bill from how much you use, at Šiaulių vandenys rates in force from 1 July 2026.
Šiaulių vandenys charges one price for every cubic metre of water you use, and a second price for taking the same amount away as wastewater. Put in roughly how much water your household uses in a month and this works out what the bill should come to at the rates in force from 1 July 2026.
Your meter reads in cubic metres, and so does your bill. If you have no reading to hand, Šiaulių vandenys calculates the average household use in its area as 1.8 m³ per person per month — so about 3.6 m³ for two people, 5.4 m³ for three.

Why the bills keep rising
What the €3.29 on the tariff table is made of
The headline base price for a flat is €3.29 per cubic metre before VAT, and it is two things added together: €1.27 for supplying the drinking water and €2.02 for dealing with the wastewater. The wastewater part itself splits into collection €1.00, treatment €0.71 and sludge handling €0.31. With 21% VAT the base price comes to €3.9809 per cubic metre.

The price went down slightly this July
From 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 the base price for a flat was €3.36 per cubic metre before VAT. From 1 July 2026 it is €3.29 — the water part fell from €1.36 to €1.27 while the wastewater part rose from €2.00 to €2.02. Prices are set by the National Energy Regulatory Council, most recently by its decision of 27 May 2026.

A flat, a house and a building are billed differently
These figures are the rate for a household buying water and wastewater services inside a flat. A house with its own connection pays €3.22 per cubic metre before VAT, and a building billed at its main inlet pays €3.19. The meter maintenance charge differs too: €0.63 a month per flat, €3.61 a month for a whole apartment building billed at the inlet, €0.56 per meter for an individual house.

Worth knowing
If your meter cannot be read
Where a cold-water meter cannot be fitted, or has broken through no fault of yours and you have told the company, Šiaulių vandenys bills the average it has calculated for its area: 1.8 cubic metres per person per month, in force since 1 January 2026.

Hot water is a separate line
This works out cold water and wastewater only. Heating the water is charged by Šiaulių energija on your heating bill, and the water used to make it is billed at a slightly different rate to the building. Rainwater and surface-water charges are also separate.
The company rounds, so a cent or two either way is normal
The tariff table itself carries the note that prices with VAT are rounded, so a small difference is expected. This page multiplies the published rates by the amount you enter; your real bill may also carry corrections or arrears from earlier months.
