Visiting Sagada is guided by design, and the fees are set by the community — not by whoever offers you a tour. Pick the sites you have in mind and your group size for a plain total. A guide's fee is shared by the whole group, so the more of you there are, the less each person pays.
About these fees
The registration fee is the one amount Sagada publishes officially. Guide fees are set by the accredited associations and posted at the Tourist Information Office — they are not published online and can change, so use the amounts here to plan and confirm the exact rate when you book. Fees are per group and shared, and the office sets the rate for larger groups.
Guiding in Sagada is required, and the fees are set by the community — not by whoever offers you a tour. Register at the Municipal Tourist Information Center and hire one of the accredited guide associations below.
The town takes this seriously: in 2025 the local council suspended thirteen tour organizers for overcharging and misrepresentation. If an operator quotes fees far from these, pressures you to book only through them, or won't route you through the office, treat it as a red flag — and go to the office instead.
Sagada Genuine Guides Association (SAGGAS)
Sagada Environmental Guides Association (SEGA)
Sagada Ethnos Tour Guides Organization (SETGO)
These are guided too, but their posted fees change or vary by the time of day (a sunrise slot costs more), so we don't list a figure here. Ask when you register.
Two common ways in. The fares below are what travelers report — buy at the station and confirm the current fare there.
These fares are approximate and not set by the town — buy from the operator directly and don't pay a stranger in advance.
