Is the power on?

Tap your ward when the power goes off, so neighbours can tell whether it is one house or the whole area. TANESCO's toll-free 180 is here too.

About these tools

Town Tools builds free, public tools for Moshi and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Reporting a fault to TANESCO

180 is TANESCO's toll-free call centre — free from any Tanzanian network since March 2025 — for reporting a cut or asking about one. TANESCO also posts fault notices on its own site. This board never reaches TANESCO: a report here tells your neighbours, not the utility, so if your power is off, call 180 as well.
