About these tools

Town Tools builds free, public tools for Methuen and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Methuen runs its own electricity-supply program, Methuen Choice. Since December 2024, most residential and small-business National Grid accounts in the city pay a locked, competitively-bid rate instead of National Grid's own default price. Here's what that difference actually comes to on a bill.

In effect

The new rate has been in effect since December 1, 2024.
