Marfa has no emergency room. The nearest hospital is Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, about 26 miles east on US-90 (roughly 30 minutes). In any life-threatening emergency, call 911 — Marfa EMS responds 24 hours.
After-hours utility problems
City Hall is open weekdays only. For a water main break, a gas smell or a sewer emergency after hours, call the Sheriff's 24-hour line at (432) 729-4308 — or 911 if it's dangerous.
