Put in your postcode and house number and see the next collection dates ROVA has for that exact address. Two houses a few doors apart in Giethoorn can be on completely different rounds, so the address matters.
Every date on this page comes from ROVA's own service for the address you enter, including any change for a public holiday. ROVA is the last word — if their page and this one ever differ, theirs is right.
Restafval — general wasteWhatever is left once food and garden waste, paper and PMD have been taken out.
GFT — food and garden wasteVegetable, fruit and garden waste.
PMD — packagingPlastic and metal packaging and drinks cartons.
Oud papier en karton — paper and cardPaper and cardboard, collected from a container at the address.
Los papier — loose paperPaper and cardboard put out loose rather than in a container.
Not every address gets every bin, and that is normal here
Steenwijkerland collects the recyclable streams — food and garden waste, paper and card, and PMD — at the home, and sends what is left to underground containers in the neighbourhood. So a list with no general waste on it is the system working as designed, not a gap in the dates.

Along the water, the collection comes by boat
Homes in Giethoorn that cannot be reached by road are served by the boat and cart round rather than by a lorry, and waste has to go out in the bags the round accepts. If your dates look different from a neighbour's on the road side, that is why.

Where to find your nearest container
The council points residents at ROVA's own calendar and app, where signing in with a postcode and house number also shows a map of every underground container in the area.
