La Ville publie chaque avis qu'elle émet — coupure d'eau, avis d'ébullition, tronçon de rue fermé, piscine ou aréna fermé, collecte déplacée, séance de conseil d'arrondissement. Ils sont maintenant rassemblés sur une page, par catégorie et du plus récent au plus ancien, avec un point sur la carte pour chacun et un lien vers l'avis officiel. Deux choses que la page dit clairement, parce qu'elles comptent. Chaque avis est daté du jour où la Ville l'a publié, et non de la durée des travaux : un avis de la semaine dernière peut être terminé comme être encore en cours, et c'est l'avis lui-même qui le dit. Et la Ville reconstruit cette liste une fois par nuit, donc un avis émis aujourd'hui n'y apparaîtra souvent que demain — pour l'état actuel, la page des avis et alertes de la Ville reste la référence, et le 911 pour une urgence. A new kind of tool for local elections where what you vote on depends on where you live. Type an address and it shows the races on your ballot, every certified candidate, races already decided by acclamation, and where and when you can vote. First used for Kingston, Ontario’s 26 October election.
The reading at the top is banded on the US EPA index — the platform's default outside Europe — but a paragraph further down told you the page showed the European index, so the same page named two different scales. The prose now matches what is actually on screen, and is clearer that the EPA number and Environment Canada's AQHI are not interchangeable: this page is an hourly estimate, the AQHI is the answer.
A new tool kind prices a regular drive through a per-passage toll ring for a chosen month — the hour rule, inbound-only rings, rush hours that skip weekends, holidays and July, and a monthly cap — first in Oslo, and ready for any Norwegian bomring. The Norwegian air-quality page can now email you when the forecast turns. And neighbour report boards gain a frost topic, first on the Nilgiris plateau.
A board for growers and neighbours to say what they found on the ground at first light — no frost, white frost on the grass, or hard frost — at the Race Course, the Botanical Garden lawns, Thalaikundha, Kandal, the Kuthirapanthaya ground and Sandynallah. The frost forecast reads one point on the map; this is the people who went and looked. Reports drop off by the afternoon. Reading is open to everyone; reporting needs an account.
A town whose tips run summer and winter hours used to get one week in the data and the other in a sentence, so the live open-or-closed badge would have gone on promising an evening that had already shortened. The kind now reads whichever week is in force and shows the other one below it. It also gained a compact widget, so the page opens with whether anything is open rather than with prose. Separately, two kinds that read their source on every render — the bin-day lookup and the wildlife board — were dating their pages by the day an agent last checked, which made this week's sightings look months old; both now say they update automatically.
Buses, the new tip checker and the Environment Agency's flood warnings are now the three live cards at the top, with the bin-day lookup first in the grid below. Air & Pollen is unpinned until the grass pollen season comes round again in late spring.
The bins answer now points at this site's own postcode lookup rather than telling you to go and find the council's. The fourth-bin answer names all seven areas in the food-waste trial, says it runs through 2026, and gives the council's actual target for the rest of the city: a weekly food collection by 2029/30. The tip answer had said there are charges on DIY waste — there have been none since January 2024, but there is a four-visits-a-month limit, and fridges and freezers are not being taken at all right now. The bus and tram answers caught up with the franchising contracts and the business case.

Four kinds printed a number or an email that the site's own linkifier would have made tappable and nobody had asked it to — a utility's fault line on the reservoir pages, the Valuation Office on a council tax page, a museum's ring-ahead number on a walking tour, and opening hours notes on the places-open pages. On a phone that is the difference between one tap and copying seven digits by hand. Fixed in the components, so it reaches every town running them.
The first answers 'who is supposed to collect my rubbish' for a city that franchises collection zone by zone, reading the register's own published zones and rounds. The second puts a water company's published charges next to its capped social tariffs, which are always published somewhere else. Both are reusable: any city with a zone register, and any of the water companies in England, Wales and Scotland.
Welsh Water publishes what water costs in one document and the help with paying for it on three others. This page puts them together: work out the year at this year's rates, then see the caps against it. The lowest caps a whole year's water and sewerage at £350.16 against an average bill of £683 — and PIP, DLA, Attendance Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction do not count towards the income it tests, which is the part most people never get told.
Collection in Lusaka is franchised zone by zone, and the register is public but was only readable through a map widget. Find your area, or type a place near you, and the page says which zone it falls in, which company holds the franchise, and — for the six of 39 zones that publish one — which day the round comes. For 15 of the zones the register names no collector at all, and the page says so plainly, because that is the likeliest answer to why nobody comes. Nobody publishes what collection costs, so the page does not pretend to know.
The parking answer in Common Questions said the meters were cash only; the town also accepts the HotSpot app, and it now says so along with the enforced hours. The water-meter answer now reflects the final round of installs in September and who to contact. The garbage page marks the summer weekly green-cart window as over for 2026.
Three things earlier passes had recorded wrongly are corrected, among them a Welsh Government block that was never a block. Also records the full recipe for the NHS Wales waiting-time figures, which are now reachable, and why the Ffos-y-fran dispute still cannot honestly be put on a page.
The waste register was read properly this time, including the endpoints nobody had looked at, and the city's structural waste figures are now sourced to the council's and the ministry's own documents rather than carried as prose. Also records what is still not published anywhere: what collection costs.
The two kinds that read a dam or reservoir level from its operating authority on every render were still printing the site's usual "checked on" line underneath. On Bulawayo's Kariba page that read "checked 25 July" above a level a week old. Both kinds now say the figure is updated automatically, and the dated sources beside each transcribed fact — the operating range, the station capacities — stay where they were.
Merthyr has the highest average council tax bill in Wales, and a lot of what can come off a bill goes unclaimed because the council lists its discounts on one page and the people who are not counted on another. Answer three questions about who lives in your home and the page works out what you may be able to apply for, against this year's band charges. It also says plainly that the empty-home and second-home premiums on the council's site were determined for 2025/2026 and that no 2026/27 figures have been published.
Most of Zambia's electricity is made from water behind Kariba Dam, and the Zambezi River Authority publishes the lake's level every week. The page reads it directly — 480.97 m, 39.09% of usable storage on 28 September, against 15.29% on the same date last year — alongside the range the turbines can run in and the 36 billion cubic metres the two countries are allowed to pass this year. It is the figure underneath every statement about load shedding, and it never says the lights will stay on.
Voting on a suggestion, liking a tool, reporting an outage or taking back a price you had reported could sometimes not go through — the day's limit was already used, or the page had been updated since you opened it. The count would move and then move back with nothing to explain it. Those buttons now tell you the reason in your town's language, with a reload button when that is all it takes.

The winter parking answer opened "It's June" and the beach answer described a finished season in the present tense; both are rewritten, and the O-Train answer now gives the 1 July 2026 fare and the 90-or-105-minute transfer window. "Who to call" carries the Ottawa Police non-emergency number, 613-236-1222, instead of telling you to go and find it. "What opens when" now says that Ādisōke will not open before 2027 and that the library has taken its final lease extension on the Main branch, to the end of that year.
The tool's whole point is moving your car before a ban starts, and it never said where to move it to. It now lists what opens up free for the length of a declared ban — City garages, pay-and-display lots, Park & Rides and some recreation centres — with the catch that matters: the gate-controlled garages on Clarence Street and Laurier Avenue West have to be emptied between 4 am and 7:30 am, while a car at a recreation centre can stay until the ban is lifted. It also points at the City's free Winter Parking e-Alerts, which email you when a ban is declared, extended or lifted. Ban season opens 15 November.
Through September the page still read "lifeguards supervise all four beaches daily from noon to 7 pm" — five weeks after the City closed the beaches and Ottawa Public Health stopped sampling the water. The supervised season is now two dates the page reads against today's date, so it says plainly whether anyone is watching the water, and what else stops when the lifeguards do.
Ottawa has two rivers and only one of them had a page. The Rideau's level and flow now come live from the federal gauge in the city, alongside the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority's flood-warning channel — the river that puts water into Old Ottawa South most springs. It also explains why this gauge reads about 3 m while the Ottawa River at Britannia reads about 58: they are measured on different datums and the two numbers cannot be compared.
Its German column was a copy of the English one, so a German town using it would have shown English headings under a German title. Jena is the first.

The Drainage and Irrigation Department publishes live readings at stations from Sintok down to the highway bridge. This page shows seven of them and the city's two, each against that station's own Normal, Alert, Warning and Danger levels. It does not estimate when water will arrive, and it is not a warning: Portal Bencana (NADMA) is where those come from.
Eight fixes, and seven of them were silent — a page that looked completely healthy while answering nothing. A bin calendar's special-collection section was keyed off its dated list, so on the morning the last bulky-waste day passed, the heading and the booking instructions left with it. The part a resident actually needed had been written inside a date. The standing rules now live separately and stay up all year, and the page says when the dated list ran out. An address lookup built its query with the house number in quotes, which is right for a city whose map stores it as text and fatal for one that stores it as a number: the map service rejects the query and the page tells every reader it cannot reach the city's map. A lookup can also now read just part of a map layer, for the common case of a city filing two different sets of rules under one layer name. Our own link-maker could not see a phone number written the American way — (805) 543-0875 — so council numbers in that form were not tappable. Worse, the check that exists to find dead numbers used the same matcher, and so reported those pages clean. An address box for bin day dropped a pasted city and state only if they were Canadian, so typing a full US address returned nothing at all, which reads as "you are not on the collection list". It now ignores everything after the first comma. The same page's example address and its wording about whose calendar it is are now set per town, instead of naming one town's city hall everywhere. And two pages that read live data were dating it by hand, which made minutes-old readings look weeks old.
The town page was still offering a MET Malaysia warnings page that had been retired on 22 September, so it pointed residents at something that was not there. The note has been rewritten. It also said the river has no gauge. That is only true of the Sungai Larut through the town centre — the Drainage and Irrigation Department publishes eight gauges elsewhere in this district, and they are on the site now.
The entry fees for Zoo Taiping and the Night Safari, as the council gazetted them on 5 February 2026: a Malaysian rate and a non-citizen rate across three age bands, with the daytime zoo and the Night Safari priced as two separate tickets. The Night Safari's opening hours are the by-law's own. Where the by-law is silent the page says so instead of guessing. It sets no opening hours for the daytime zoo, gives no Sunday hours for the Night Safari, sets no fee for a child under three, and does not say what proof of citizenship the counter asks for.
The Drainage and Irrigation Department publishes eight river gauges for Larut Matang dan Selama — on the Kurau, the Ara, the Ijok, the Mengkuang, the Selama and the Kerian — each with its own Normal, Alert, Warning and Danger level, and republishes the readings through the day. This page reads all eight at once, grouped by basin. None of them is in Taiping, and the page says so at the top. On 3 October the department's Perak table carried 28 stations and not one was on the Sungai Larut. So these are the right gauges for Batu Kurau, Pondok Tanjung and Selama, and no description at all of how the town centre drains. Each station is measured against its own zero, so a height here can only be read against the four levels printed beside it. A warning, and a place to go, still come from Portal Bencana.
Live National Weather Service warnings for San Luis Obispo — heat advisories, red flag fire-weather days, wind and flood warnings — read from the county and forecast zones the Weather Service itself puts the town in, with the wind right now underneath. There was a Heat Advisory out when the page went live. It also names the channels worth signing up to, because a page you have to remember to open is not an alert. Reverse 911 calls landlines automatically and mobiles only if you have registered one.
Type your address and the page reads San Luis Garbage's own calendar for it: the next collection days, and which of the three carts — gray for trash, blue for recycling, green for organics — goes out on each one. Alongside it, the standing things a date cannot answer: carts are set out by 6 a.m. at the curb with the lid closed and three feet clear, Christmas Day is the one day nothing is collected and everything runs a day late after it, clean-up weeks bring six extra bags twice a year, and bulky items need booking at least three days ahead. The address you type is sent to the calendar to be looked up and is not stored.
Type your address and the page reads two zones off the City's own map for that spot: the CAL FIRE fire hazard severity zone from the map dated 10 March 2025, and the FEMA flood zone. These are the zones behind defensible-space clearing, what a seller has to disclose, and what a lender asks about — not a prediction about your house. For anything with money attached, the page points at FEMA's own map service, which is what a lender will use. Evacuation zones are the County's and are not duplicated here.
Type your address and the page reads it off the City's own parking map: whether your street is in one of the thirteen residents' parking permit districts, and the hours a permit is needed there. If it is not in one, it says so plainly — and says that downtown time limits and the Thursday market tow-away zone are a separate question. The City's map files the permit districts and the downtown 30-minute and 2-hour meter zones under one name, so the page reads only the permit districts; your address is not saved.

Anglian Water's hosepipe ban has applied across Norfolk since 11 July 2026, but three Norwich pages still said no ban had been announced. What's changing, River & drought watch and Common questions now describe the ban and where to check its rules. The market revamp entries also no longer promise a June decision: the council now expects a planning application this autumn.
Every tool here is built from things somebody typed in by hand: a time zone, a web address, a map coordinate, a date. Some of those fields were only being checked for not being empty, so a typo would have been accepted and the page would have gone on to show the wrong day, a link that leads nowhere, or a map with nothing on it. A new check reads what all 2,337 live pages actually hold and proves each field would refuse a wrong value — it found twelve that would not, including the map behind fourteen towns' live bus pages, and all twelve are now checked properly. Nothing on any page changes today; this is about what cannot quietly go wrong tomorrow.
The Combined Authority signed its first Weaver Network contracts in September 2026 — First West Yorkshire for the Bramley depot in west Leeds and for Huddersfield, Transdev Blazefield for Dewsbury — so the May 2027 start now has operators attached. The tram card was also wrong about what happens next: it is the Strategic Outline Case that goes to government later this year, and the next public consultation on the routes only comes after that and an Outline Business Case are both approved.
Flood Watch said the Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme was 14 km of defences through Kirkstall; How high is the Aire? said phase 2 was still under way. Both now carry the council's own account: phase 1 finished in 2017 through the city centre with the Crown Point and Knostrop weirs, phase 2 in 2024 from Leeds Station up to Apperley Bridge, with the Calverley storage area. The Aire page also explains why this gauge's 2015 record reads 2.96 m when the city's headline figure is 5.2 m — that one is the Armley gauge, and gauges are measured against their own zero.
Leeds has eight household waste recycling centres and they all shorten to 8am–4pm from 26 October. The new page says which are open right now, what each one takes, which site turns away sofas and mattresses, and the limits that get people sent home at the barrier — including that fridges and freezers aren't being accepted anywhere at the moment.
