Any Environment Agency warning in force around the city, plus live levels at six gauges — including the Avonmouth tide gauge, because Bristol's flood risk comes up the river on a surge, not down it on the rain. The page shows each measured level and says where it has no published typical range to judge it against.
Type your postcode, pick your address, and it reads the council's own service: the black bin every two weeks, recycling and food waste every week. It shows the council's current container contents rather than the out-of-date labels in the data feed — paper left the black box on 28 May. You can add an email reminder for the evening before, which is the only useful time here, because containers have to be out before 6am.
Bristol joins with four tools built from its own research: a bin-day lookup for your actual address, a flood watch that leads with the tide rather than the rain, a Clean Air Zone checker that says plainly which exemptions still exist, and — with the Fiesta two weeks away — an honest page about whether the mass ascents will fly. More is in the backlog, starting with a residents' parking permit calculator and a monthly cost total.
border-transit is for towns whose ordinary journeys cross a national border, where two ticketing systems meet in the middle and the document rules move; it always states the border-check situation, including when the answer is that there are none. circulation-plan is for a town centre cut into loops off a ring road, and can now answer whether you may drive into a given street at all. Departures boards can also read iRail, the open feed over Belgium's railway, which brings live platform changes to the platform for the first time.
Pick where you are going and it gives you the car park to aim for. Then type your street and it tells you whether you may drive in, whether you may park, and when — 98 streets across the pedestrian zone, the no-entry streets and the autoluwe zone, copied from the city's own lists. The cameras have been on since 2020 and each zone you enter without access is a separate €58 fine. Also, plainly: Leuven has no low-emission zone.
The next departures straight from the NMBS/SNCB board, including the platform currently posted and a marker when it has been moved. It carries the thing that catches every newcomer: almost no train to Brussels says Brussels on it — they show Oostende, De Panne, Charleroi — so you read the time and the platform instead.
The town page now opens with a drawing of the cathedral's twin sandstone towers above the red-tiled rooftops, seen across the trees of Lundagård with the Scanian plain running flat to the horizon behind.
The town page now opens with a drawing of the late-Gothic town hall and its tiers of statue niches, seen across the cobbles of the Grote Markt with bicycles parked along the far side.
Who to Call listed Fishermen's Memorial in Lunenburg as "Emergency department open daily 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m." That is the posted schedule, but on a lot of days it isn't true — the hours get cut at short notice, and a flat line like that could send someone to a closed door. The health section now says plainly that the hours change, and points at the new "Is the ER Open?" page for today's answer. South Shore Regional in Bridgewater has gained its address and phone number, which it was missing, and virtual urgent care has been added — it runs at the Lunenburg hospital daily, walk-in, even when the emergency department is closed.
The nearest emergency room is at Fishermen's Memorial in Lunenburg, about ten minutes away. Its posted hours are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day — but those hours are often cut back, or the department closes for several days, and the change is announced only on Nova Scotia Health's provincial notice board. On the day this went live the board said the department was closing at noon. So the new tool reads that board every fifteen minutes and holds it against the posted hours. If there is a notice for Lunenburg, the notice is what you see at the top of the page, in Nova Scotia Health's own words, and the timetable moves below it. If the board can't be reached, the page says so rather than showing a reassuring green. It also carries the things you need when the answer is no: the 24-hour emergency department at South Shore Regional in Bridgewater, about twenty minutes on; virtual urgent care, which runs at the Lunenburg hospital every day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. even when the emergency department is shut; and 811. In a medical emergency, call 911 — don't drive to a department that might be closed.
A tool that reads a live source — bus departures, road conditions, water levels — used to hold the whole page back until that source answered, which on a slow day could take many seconds. Now the page appears right away with its title, description and the way back to your town, and the live section fills in as soon as its data arrives. Loading announcements for screen readers now also speak your town's language.
The new resident-parking kind answers two questions together: whether an address falls inside a residents' parking zone (geocoded and tested against the town's own openly-licensed zone polygons, on demand and never logged), and what the permit costs under the town's published formula, computed step by step against the authority's own worked example. Departure boards on the EFA provider now also show the service notices the network attaches to the lines calling at each stop — moved stops and closures, above the times — with notices whose own title names a past year filtered out, because networks leave old ones attached. price-watch gained German chrome.
Zehn Recherche-Dokumente liegen dahinter. Was fehlt, können Sie vorschlagen.
Leuven has had research and registered tools since early this morning, but two of them referenced code that had never been merged, so the town sat waiting. Both are built now, and Leuven opens with four tools: a live train board, a guide to driving into a centre that is genuinely hard to drive into, the Ecowerf bin sorter, and the newcomer contacts.
Which train actually goes all the way to Copenhagen, which ticket covers a journey that changes country halfway, and what to carry: Sweden is running document checks at Hyllie until at least 11 November. Also the Metro catch — included on a single, not on a 30-day pass — and the government subsidy halving 30-day passes until the end of the year.
Both official housing windows for autumn 2026 have already closed, so the guide leads with what is still open — BoPoolen, LKF's free queue, late applications — and with BoPoolen's own six warning signs for rental scams, quoted. Then the personal number, the right to a basic bank account, the doctor, the bus, and how to buy a bicycle without accidentally buying a stolen one. Arrival Day is Tuesday 18 August.
Lund has been researched since this morning but could not go live: its cross-border transit tool used a kind whose code had never been merged. That is fixed, and Lund opens with three tools — an arrival guide written for the August intake, a tool for the everyday journey over the Öresund, and the list of who to call when something in your flat stops working.
The road-status tool gained a 511 Alberta provider. Alberta serves the same feed format as Ontario 511, so one shared reader now covers both provinces — and any Alberta town whose day turns on a highway can get a live road board with no new code. Alberta also publishes three kinds of standing notice Ontario does not, and we had to teach the reader to treat them as advisories: the permanent 'no cell service on the Icefields Parkway' notice would otherwise have shown as a serious alert on a completely open road, every day.
When Council Meets shows the next Banff Town Council and Governance & Finance Committee sittings, with how to register as a delegation, write in, or watch the stream. Built from the Town's published 2026 calendar, so it knows the months the usual pattern breaks: council sits once only in July and once in August, and December's second sitting is the 15th rather than the 22nd. We corrected our own earlier note while building it — council meets on Tuesdays, not Mondays.
Is the Road Open? reads 511 Alberta's live event feed for Highway 1, the Bow Valley Parkway and the Icefields Parkway, from the east park gate up to Sunwapta Pass — closures, crashes and roadwork, refreshed every few minutes. It also carries the park rules a traffic feed never shows: the Bow Valley Parkway's 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. spring closure, the snow-tyre law on Highway 93N, and why Moraine Lake Road is deliberately left off the list. For the British Columbia side of Kicking Horse and Vermilion passes, it points you at DriveBC.
The council-meetings tool computed dates from a rule like "second Tuesday of the month". Real councils publish a year's calendar and move one or two sittings, and the rule got those wrong — which sends someone to a locked door. A kind can now carry the confirmed exceptions alongside the rule.
Three facts in our research were out of date. Curbside collection changed in March. The one-way fare to Gatineau is $20, not the $5–$7 we had. And Bill McCleary resigned as mayor on 15 July; Deputy Mayor Richard Armitage is acting mayor until a by-election expected in the autumn.
The bus times on the page are correct, but the schedule Transcollines put in force on 20 April expires on 21 August and is re-issued for the school year. The page now says so, so nobody plans a September trip on August times.
The next public council meeting, worked out from the calendar council adopted for 2026 — including the two dates that break the usual second-Tuesday pattern. It also points at the Municipality's public-notices page, where fire bans, boil-water advisories and heavy-garbage days get posted without needing a Facebook account.
The Fair has published its schedule for the 170th year, so all five days are now on the page hour by hour — gates, midway, the livestock and 4-H shows, the horse pull, the demolition derby and every set on the main stage and in the beer tent. Admission is this year's confirmed pricing rather than last year's: $20 Thursday, $25 Friday, $30 Saturday and Sunday, $25 Monday, $125 for all five days. Advance weekend and camping passes close at 9 p.m. on 27 August.
Shawville moved everything to Tuesdays: compost every week, garbage and recycling on alternating weeks. The old page still showed weekly Tuesday garbage and second-Wednesday recycling, so it was wrong about half the time. The new page names which of the two goes out on the next Tuesday, all the way to 29 December, and carries the set-out rules as the Municipality states them now.
Thirteen Denmark cellar doors with their weekly hours, working out what's open at this moment in Denmark time. Winter is built in honestly — the places on a winter break, the ones open weekends only, and the by-appointment tastings all show correctly — with the date each was last confirmed and a standing reminder to ring ahead before a long drive.
Denmark's recurring events, in the order they come around, with the next date worked out for you: Taste Great Southern and Brave New Works in autumn, the Anzac Day dawn service, the Festival of Voice on the WA Day long weekend, and the Berridge Park carols in December. Fixed dates stay right without updates; the ones that move are marked, and each links to the organiser to confirm times and tickets.
A reusable calculator for towns where visiting is guided and the community sets the fees — it works out a per-person total from the group size (a guide covers a group up to a cap, so the cost per person falls as a group grows) and puts the official, accredited fees on the page so nobody gets overcharged. First use: Sagada, in the Philippine Cordillera.
The answers that usually live on Facebook groups and word of mouth, in one place — busy-day parking, the stair shortcuts you actually use, reliable trades for canyon and stair-access homes, the calmest errand hours, and monsoon know-how. Anyone can read it; adding an answer takes a free account.
Pick the sites you have in mind and your group size for a plain total and a per-person share at the community-set fees — a guide's fee is shared, so the more of you there are, the less each pays. It also names the accredited guide associations and says to book through the Tourist Information Office, so you can tell when an operator is overcharging. The one official figure is the ₱100 registration; guide fees are as posted at the office — confirm them when you book.
Toonik Tyme, National Indigenous Peoples Day, Alianait, Canada Day and Nunavut Day, in the order they come around each year, each with what the day is and a link to the host. It always shows what comes next, so it stays current on its own.
There is no 911 service in Nunavut, so Who to Call now leads with the numbers that actually reach help in Iqaluit — Fire and Ambulance at (867) 979-4422 and the RCMP at (867) 979-1111 — with a note to save them before you need them.
The quake-watch kind now reads the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre real-time catalogue, the right source for Andean and Latin-American towns where the global USGS feed carries almost none of the region's smaller quakes. First use: Baños, Ecuador.
Red Flag fire-weather warnings, high wind, extreme heat and storm alerts in force for the Santa Clarita Valley right now — live from the National Weather Service, with the wind at the valley floor and the official channels for fire, evacuations and power shutoffs. The pre-ignition companion to Is Something Burning?
Every map of places — playgrounds, parking, flood spots, assembly points and more — now has the familiar 'show my location' button. Tap it and you appear as a dot among the pins, so you can see what's closest and watch yourself get nearer as you walk. Your location stays on your phone and is never sent to us. This also mends the bike-share map's near-me button, which a too-strict browser setting on our side had silently broken.
Aurora Tonight blends NOAA's space-weather model, the cloud forecast and the hours of real darkness into a plain answer on whether it's worth heading out — with the Midnight Dome and the Dempster noted as dark-sky spots. Through the midnight-sun weeks it says so honestly; it comes into its own from late August, when the nights turn dark enough again.
The page went live before it was actually finished, so visitors saw an error message instead of the breweries. It's down until it can be rebuilt properly — a map of Vista's breweries along Hop Highway 78 is still very much on the list.
