On weekends, the whole region comes to Bolsa Avenue. Voice of OC put it plainly back in 2016 — "By 11 a.m. on most Saturdays, traffic is at a standstill on Westminster's Bolsa Avenue" — and resident reports since say little has changed. Here is how to time a visit, where the parking actually is, and the bus that skips all of it.
Tết season (late January–February) is its own animal
The city's Tết parade closes parts of Bolsa Avenue, and the separate UVSA Tết Festival at Golden West College discourages parking on campus entirely — its organizers point visitors to off-site lots instead. If you're coming during Tết, treat parking time as part of the trip and check the city's and festival's pages for that year's closures.
