Running on the reduced timetable Metrolink introduced March 23, 2026 — a nearly 20% cut across six of its seven lines, since extended indefinitely. Trains run between Lancaster and LA Union Station, serving Newhall, Santa Clarita and Via Princessa in town.
Service notice: Train 220 to LA Union Station is delayed up to 35 minutes due to mechanical issues.
On March 23, 2026 Metrolink cut nearly 20% of its service across six of seven lines, citing mechanical problems and parts shortages. It was announced as a seven-week temporary measure, then extended indefinitely — and as of May the agency was evaluating deeper service reductions and a possible fare increase as early as October. The reduced schedule is the one linked below.
How this page decides what counts as an AV Line alert
Metrolink scopes most alerts to a single train rather than a line, so this page also claims alerts naming trains 200–299 and 1260–1299 — the number ranges the published AV Line timetable uses — and alerts at the three stations in town. Alerts the agency scopes to another line are never shown here.
