Eureka Springs votes on 3 November, and four of the questions on the ballot are the city's own: a new 1% sales tax for twenty years, two $10 million bond issues for the water and sewer systems that depend on it, and whether to keep the entertainment district at Pine Mountain Village. The mayor's office, the clerk-treasurer's and one council seat are contested too.
This page is the clock, not the ballot: what you can still do about it today, which deadlines have gone, and where to vote. The county clerk runs the election and holds the roll, so anything about your own registration or your own ballot comes from her office.
Dates and deadlines
Four city questions as well as the state and county ballot. The 1% sales and use tax would run twenty years, paying bonds for capital improvements first and then operating and extending the water and sewer system. The two $10,000,000 bond issues — one for water lines, one for the sewer treatment plant and sewer lines — are each pledged against that new tax (Ordinance 2384, adopted 11 May 2026) and only take effect if the tax passes on its own. The fourth is a referendum on Ordinance 2357, the permanent entertainment district at Pine Mountain Village, and its wording runs backwards: the ballot asks whether you are FOR the rejection of the ordinance, so a vote FOR removes the district and a vote AGAINST keeps it. Read that one twice. Contested city races: Mayor (Steve Holifield, Susan Harman, Robert 'Butch' Berry), City Clerk-Treasurer (Michael Carey, Aaron Borey) and City Council Ward 3 Position 2 (Harold 'Harry' Meyer, Shira C. Fouste).
