The directory still named H.H. Williams Memorial Hospital on Gaetz Drive. It now lists the Hay River Regional Health Centre at 37911 Mackenzie Highway, with the main desk, the emergency department and the ambulance number. Also added 877-NWTFIRE for reporting a fire you can see, and the NWT Help Line.

It reads DriveNWT — the territory's own highway service — for the three stretches Hay River sits on, and shows what the Department of Infrastructure publishes for each: open, open with caution, or closed, plus any wildfire advisory or roadwork on it. It is not the evacuation call; that still comes from NWT Alert and the Town.

The lake gauge shows the live level of Great Slave Lake at the town, straight from the Water Survey of Canada — the number the barge docks and the West Channel fishery watch, and how the lake sits against the river mouth at spring break-up. The wildfires page lists active fires near town from the national fire map, nearest first, with each fire's size and stage of control, and the official channels that matter in an evacuation. Neither one is an alert system — the official flood and fire calls come from the Government of the Northwest Territories and NWT Alert.

The town page now opens on Hay River's working waterfront — freight barges and fishing boats along the wharf, with the lake stretching to a low horizon behind.

A small tool shows today's sunrise, sunset and daylight length for Hay River, and how fast the days are growing or shrinking — close to twenty hours of light near the summer solstice, about five in the depth of winter. Worked out from the town's latitude, so there's nothing to fetch and nothing to go stale.

A new tool shows the wind chill in Hay River right now and over the next three days, and the hours when exposed skin is at risk — worked out from the live temperature and wind on Environment Canada's published wind-chill scale, with its frostbite times. It's plain about being a model reading, not an official warning, and links Environment Canada for that. Built now so it's ready for winter; in summer it simply says there's no cold risk.
