The river-level tool can now read Australia's Bureau of Meteorology Water Data Online (CC BY 4.0), a different open feed from BoM's weather data, so Australian towns can show a live river height. First use: the Diamantina at Birdsville.
Tap the situation closest to yours for what to do next — find a practice taking NHS patients, get urgent care if you are in pain, check whether you pay nothing, or what to do when nowhere is accepting. It links the official NHS Find a dentist tool and explains how the system works.
Birdsville's roads get cut when the river is up, so the new gauge shows the live height of the Diamantina at the town and whether it is rising, steady or falling against its recent range. The Bureau of Meteorology's flood warnings are linked as the official call.
The beach-guide tool now renders a compact safety summary on town pages when pinned, leading with how many beaches it covers and the standing 'no lifeguards' warning. Its row labels (dogs, parking, toilets, lifeguards) now follow the town's language instead of always showing English.
On a phone, a table wider than the screen — a weekday schedule, opening hours, a fees list — now shows a soft fade at the edge so you can tell there's more to see by swiping sideways. These tables can also be scrolled with the keyboard now, not just by touch.
Add up your group's entry fees — Indian and foreign rates, plus the camera fee — into one clear total, and see plainly what the single combined ticket already covers. Knowing the roof and upper floors are included makes a surprise 'tip' at the gate easy to spot. It also lists the free things (Ram Raja darshan, the Guard of Honour, the Betwa ghats) and fair auto and taxi fares from Jhansi.
Check a rent increase against Ontario's rules — the 2.1% guideline for 2026, the 90-day written notice, and once every 12 months. It also handles the catch most people miss: homes first lived in after 15 November 2018 are exempt from the cap, so the checker asks which applies to you before it judges the amount. Nothing you type is saved, and free tenant help is one tap away.
A resident asked for Mass times on a map, like the playground finder. Planned — the build is straightforward; the work is verifying each parish's current Mass schedule and committing to keep it true, so it will come through Oxford's town review.
The 'Is the Road Open?' tool, until now British Columbia only, can now read Ontario 511 (Ministry of Transportation, Open Government Licence – Ontario). First used for Highway 11 at Kapuskasing and Highway 17 at Sault Ste. Marie, and available to any Ontario highway town.
If you don't have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, tap your situation for the steps to take and exactly who to contact — Health Care Connect (call 811), the Algoma Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, the Group Health Centre's Access Care Clinic for de-rostered patients, walk-in clinics and more.
Closures, incidents and roadwork on Highway 17 around the Soo — north toward Wawa and east toward Sudbury — read from Ontario 511's official feed and refreshed every few minutes. Worth a look before you drive in a storm.
An events board (a town's markets or what's-on list) and the electricity-bill checker used in Lebanese towns could hit an error and show nothing on some pages. Both now load reliably and show their full content in the town's language.
Fort Smith is live with its first tools, starting with the two questions residents raise most — the consent-decree-driven water and sewer rate increases, and how trash and recycling collection works — plus a What's On board for the city's festivals and markets. More tools will follow as we learn what's most useful.
A plain reference for residential collection: the weekly cart (out by 7 a.m., day set by route), how to get a free recycling cart, bulky pickup through Dial-A-Truck, and what to do about a missed pickup. Because the city sets collection days by route with no public zone map, the guide points to the city's address lookup and the Solid Waste Services line, 479-784-2465.
A single page for the city's recurring fixtures and dated events: the Garrison Avenue Farmers Market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), the Old Fort Days Rodeo, the Steel Horse Rally, the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair and the Peacemaker Festival, each linked to the page it was checked on. Festivals still being scheduled, like The Unexpected mural festival, are linked under the calendars at the bottom.
A new Water & Sewer Rates page answers the questions residents ask most: why bills keep rising, how much sewer rates go up (3.5% a year, June 2025 then each January 1 through 2030), the August 2025 water-rate increase, and the 2015 federal consent decree behind it all — including the March 2025 extension of the deadline to June 30, 2038. It explains the schedule and links the city's official rate sheet rather than estimating individual bills.
St. George is live. It opens with two tools: When Can I Be Outside?, which reads the desert heat hour by hour so the workable morning and evening windows are easy to find, and Events This Week, which keeps the area's big races, the Tuacahn season, and the rodeo in one place. More to come — bin-collection by address and a SunTran transit view are the next likely additions.
St. George packs an outsized events calendar into the year, and several weekends fill roads, restaurants, and lodging. This new board gathers the verified annual fixtures in one place: the Tuacahn Amphitheatre summer season in Ivins, the Dixie Round-Up Rodeo in September, the St. George Marathon (50th running, October 3), and the Huntsman World Senior Games in October. Each entry links the page it was checked on; dated events drop off once they pass.
St. George summers are genuinely dangerous — July 2024 averaged a 107.9°F high and the record is 117°F. This new tool reads the hour-by-hour heat on the National Weather Service scale and shows when it is easier or harder to be outside, with the cool morning and evening windows the city's runners, crews, and golfers already work around. It links the official NWS forecast and CDC heat-safety guidance.
Greater Sudbury, Ontario is live, starting with two tools: a who-to-call directory of the city's key services and a seasonal events board for its two-season outdoor calendar. More tools will follow as residents suggest and vote on them.
A seasonal events board that respects Sudbury's hard summer/winter split: Dynamic Earth and the Big Nickel and Bell Park's summer programming in the warm months, the Ramsey Lake skate path and the Adanac and Lively ski hills in winter. Each entry links to the page it was checked on.
A grouped list of the services Sudbury residents reach for most: 911, Health Sciences North, Public Health Sudbury & Districts, 311, GOVA transit, Ontario 511 and Track My Plow. It also flags the family-doctor shortage and the Health Care Connect pathway, and the summer lake-water advisories.
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario — the Soo, at Baawitigong, the place of the rapids on the St. Marys River — is now active. It starts with two tools: Who to Call in the Soo and What's On in the Soo. More will follow as residents suggest and vote on what would help.
A calendar of the city's recurring festivals and seasonal series, each linked to its source: Bon Soo Winter Carnival in February, Rotaryfest (July 16–18, 2026) at Clergue Park, the Queen Street Cruise, the Algoma Fall Festival, the Agawa Canyon Tour Train (Aug 1–Oct 18, departing the new station at 429 Carmen's Way), and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds' OHL home games at GFL Memorial Gardens.
A grouped list of the numbers Sault Ste. Marie residents reach for most: Sault Area Hospital and the Group Health Centre, with a note on Health Care Connect (811) and physician recruitment for the ~7,000 residents without a family doctor; Public Works (705-759-5201) and the Civic Centre; Sault Ste. Marie Transit Services (the new Sault Loops); and Ontario 511 for Highway 17 conditions in lake-effect snow.
A new planner estimates how crowded the old town will be on any day in the next few weeks — from the day of the week, the Mosel boat season, school holidays and the wine festivals — and points to a calmer day. It also gives the parking strategy on a busy day: park behind the station or in the Endertstraße garage, or come by train. It's the usual pattern, not a live count.
FisherPoets, the Crab & Wine Festival, Goonies Day, Scandinavian Midsummer, the Buoy 10 opener, the Regatta and the Great Columbia Crossing — in the order they come around, each computed forward so the next one is always right. Buoy 10 and the Regatta are what's next this summer.
We added a tool that computes a town's first light, sunrise, sunset and dusk for the day and works back a 'leave by' time for each lookout from its climb time — for places whose draw is a dawn or dusk view. It's pure astronomy, so there's nothing to go stale, and it carries honest cautions about ridges, mist, pace and coming down in the dark. First used in Ella, Sri Lanka; reusable anywhere people climb for the light.
Recuerda a Dean (2007) y a Janet (1955).
We refreshed 'Is the Train Running?' with the latest on the line. As of 20 June 2026 the service through Ella now starts from Nanu Oya (the station for Nuwara Eliya), a little further up the hills, after a trial run on 17 June; the Kandy end is still under repair, with trains expected to reach Kandy by the end of the year. We still don't publish exact Nine Arches crossing times — they keep changing on this special timetable — but the board now points you to the official English schedule search and the railway hotline (1971) to check the day's times before you set out.
A new page works out today's first light, sunrise, sunset and dusk over Ella, and what time to set off for each lookout to catch the light — Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock at dawn, or Nine Arches Bridge before the crowds. The times are calculated from the sun and the place, so they're right for the day you look. It's honest about the rest: behind the ridges the sun comes a little later and the morning mist often hides it, the climb times are rough so leave earlier if you're unsure, and the Ella Rock path is easy to lose in the dark — carry a torch and don't come down once the light is going.
Both run on the shared astronomy and date engine with no live feed, so they can't go stale. One computes tonight's dusk and the viewing season for watching little penguins come ashore; the other counts down to a town's signature festival and shows what's on each day. First used in Stanley, Tasmania and Cudillero, Asturias.
It tells you when the little penguins are ashore — the season, and what time to be on the platform tonight — alongside the rules that keep them safe: red light only, no camera flash, keep your distance, approach from the land, and never bring a dog. The times are worked out for Stanley and don't need a feed, so the page is right whatever the date.
A new kind that lists a town's recurring observances — feast days, fiestas, market days — and computes each one's next date forward from today, so a fixed annual event never needs re-dating. Floating events carry an approximate month. First used in Taos, New Mexico.
Taos Pueblo feast days, the summer fiestas on the Plaza, the Wool Festival and the winter lightings, listed in the order they come around. The Pueblo's visiting rules travel with each entry — including San Geronimo's total camera ban. The dates are computed forward, so the page stays right year to year.
Opening hours, departure times, and the internal ids tools use are now checked against one shared, tested rule instead of a rule copied into each tool, so a typo can't slip into a published page. Separately, the Amharic (Ge'ez) font is now served from the site itself rather than fetched from Google, so Amharic pages load it faster and without a third-party request.
We had Radio Bontico listed at 96.4 FM in a couple of places. The national frequency regulator (NATCOM) lists the station at 96.9 FM, 1 Heddle Road, Bonthe — so we've corrected it on the crossing and contacts pages. Thank you to anyone who knew it was off.
