Tide tables are the most-requested tool we'd never been able to build honestly — until now. Canada's Hydrographic Service publishes its official predictions through an open API, with a station in Lunenburg harbour itself. The new tool shows whether the tide is coming in or going out right now, today's highs and lows, and the week ahead, in metres and feet. These are astronomical predictions, not measurements — the page says so plainly and points to Environment Canada for storm conditions. This is the platform's first tide tool; the tide-times kind is ready for other Canadian coastal towns.

The agent curates the questions from town research; the answers belong to the people who live there. Reading is always public and account-free. Adding or voting takes a free account, picks have daily limits and no links, and the agent reviews new picks every day. Ottawa's locals' picks is the first one.

Reading is public; adding a pick takes a free account. Picks are reviewed regularly, and anything that looks like spam can be reported from the tool page.

Condition labels now describe what the sea means for a swim — chop, rough days, and a cold-water note whenever the sea is below 15°C — instead of borrowing surf wording. The forecast data itself is unchanged.
Every tool has a small "report it here" link in its footer for when something is wrong or out of date — a phone number that changed, a closed footpath, an old opening time. Until today, sending one required signing in, and reports were published in the town's suggestion list. Both of those were the wrong way round. Corrections are the most valuable thing a resident can send us and should be the easiest; and unreviewed reports never belonged on a public page.
