Since Copley Hospital closed its Birthing Center on 1 November 2025, there is nowhere in Lamoille County to have a baby — a birth now means Berlin, about 25 miles from the village, or Burlington, about 36. Nine months earlier Lamoille Health moved its Stowe family-medicine practice on Mountain Road to Morrisville, leaving the pharmacy as the only Lamoille Health service still in town. Two changes, both easy to hear about second-hand and hard to find written down in one place. So the new tool is a plain map of where care is. Pick what you need — a baby coming, a cold, a broken bone, a mental-health crisis, a prescription — and it shows where to go, best answer first, with the phone number, the address and the drive. Under that sits the list of every place with what it can do and, just as important, what it cannot: Copley's emergency room is open around the clock and treats broken bones and heart attacks, and does not deliver babies; the Women's Center still does gynecology and will transfer your records to whichever birthing hospital you pick; Green Mountain Birth & Wellness, opened in Morrisville this June by midwives from the closed birthing center, does prenatal and postpartum care but not births. A life-threatening emergency means 911, and that line sits above everything else on the page, including the introduction. The page says where services are; it cannot tell anyone how serious their problem is, and it says so. Every name, address, phone number, opening time and service was read off the organizations' own pages on 1 August 2026; the miles and minutes come from OpenStreetMap routing on an empty road, so add time for Mountain Road on a weekend and for winter.

Prices and the shuttle operator reset each season, so it says plainly to confirm before you go.

Route 108 over the Notch closes every winter and reopens in spring; even when it's open, it's barred to over-length trucks, buses and RVs. The new tool works out whether the Notch is open or closed for the season from today's date, lists who can't drive it, and links VTrans's official status. It opened for 2026 in early May.
