The bus page used to carry departure times copied by hand, and that copy had just run out — the April schedule ended on 14 August and a new one started on the 17th. It now reads the operator's open timetable feed directly, so it stays right when the schedule changes, and it knows the days the 910 does not run at all: there is no service on Monday 7 September, the last day of the Fair.

Three facts in our research were out of date. Curbside collection changed in March. The one-way fare to Gatineau is $20, not the $5–$7 we had. And Bill McCleary resigned as mayor on 15 July; Deputy Mayor Richard Armitage is acting mayor until a by-election expected in the autumn.

The bus times on the page are correct, but the schedule Transcollines put in force on 20 April expires on 21 August and is re-issued for the school year. The page now says so, so nobody plans a September trip on August times.

The next public council meeting, worked out from the calendar council adopted for 2026 — including the two dates that break the usual second-Tuesday pattern. It also points at the Municipality's public-notices page, where fire bans, boil-water advisories and heavy-garbage days get posted without needing a Facebook account.

The Shawville Fair draws around 55,000 people to a village of 1,700 every Labour Day weekend. The new tool counts down to opening day (3 September 2026) and, once it's on, shows what's happening each day — including the confirmed grandstand line-up — with the full schedule linked for the final times.

Shawville runs on cars, but there's one weekday bus to the city — Transcollines route 910 down Route 148. The new tool shows the next departure from the town centre, which way it's headed, the $20 fare and the free STO/OC Transpo transfer. Times come straight from Transcollines' own open data.

How full the ER is right now: stretchers in use, people waiting, and who hasn't been seen yet, from the health ministry's hourly published file. It shows how full the room is — never how long you personally will wait — and in a real emergency the answer is always 911, not a dashboard.
